My came uo with this idea of a white linen wedding. I thought it was a good idea, and mentione it to my FH. He said "No". I asked why, and he said he doesn't understand the purpose of having a themed wedding. Of course I became upset because "no" is his typical response to everything. How can I make him understand??
Well what is entailed in a linen theme? Just tell him that is what you are going to do andmove on. Why aask permission? most guys could care less about wedding planning. Try to keep minor details to yourself and planning will be more fun.

Charly has the gift and she has to use it. I am curious about the white theme too. I originally thought that would br good to ask all of our guests to wear white since I wasn't going to wear white but..... that idea passed. Maybe Drds_loves_nm3 has an idea like that. Which would be nice if it's an outside wedding like a garden, beach, etc.
If everyone has to wear white that wouldnt make her stand out, especially if her dress is white too (my opinion).Drds_loves_nm3 it seems like you have fallen in the same pit that all the ladies were in at one point when talking about wedding plans with their FHs,me included.Just do what we all did, climb out and push him in the pit.The men hardley ever want what you want or even get a clue when you talk weddibng to them.Dont geet upset just do what you want to do, most men just want to pick their tux,show up and say I do.They really dont know how to deal with all the planning so we do it.
it's my mom's idea. all invited guest are asked to wear white linen. i thought it better to have our after party as a white linen theme since i want to stand out at the wedding.
That sounds like a good idea but I don’t think that I would want my guest in all white, because they would take always from my dream of wearing a White Wedding Dress. But that is a great idea.
You would also have to take into consideration how messy some people are in white.I know I cant wear all white because by the time I get home I will be wearing all black.I dont know if its just me or what but dirt always seems to find me when I have on white. What will your menu be like? Please dont have nothing too sloppy,meaning like bar-b-que cuz we know how we get around that.We will have sauce everywhere! And if there will be kids they tend to wipe their hand on anything and anyone......All white is not my color.......but if you want it then more power to you. What color will you be wearing? I like the idea of wearing yellow or maybe pink.When is your wedding? what are your wedding colors? Maybe you can wear a color from the wedding and everyone else wears white........
One of my (3) sister also suggested this for my beach wedding. And I hadn't thought about what alvinslove said. That is a good point. Maybe I can come up with another color and have everyone wear that color and my bridal party wear a different color and me and FH in white. (We don't have colors yet.)
