How about little jeweled butterflies in the bridal parties hair and tiny ones lighting on the groomsmen buttonieres? That would look like fantasy. Really ethreal and pretty.

They also have in many places where instead of people throwing rice at the end of the ceremony you can have live butterflies released into the air! I love love this idea and I'm trying to have it done at my wedding in 2006 but it's in St. Lucia and they don't do it there...yet...but I'm working on it. Check it out, good luck!

I'm having a couple of butterflies out into my wedding bouquet. I love butterflies and I'd rather them be in my bouquet then in my stomach on my wedding day.

While surfing the web last nite, I saw these cute dyable wedding shoes with butterflies on them. They were HOT! Some people might think butterflies on the shoes? Well these were strappy sandals with 2 in + heal and rhinestone butterflies. I believe they were made by coloriffic.

I just got engaged on 4/3/05 and I'm already looking for ideas and I would love to release butterflies instead of throwing rice

I found a fantastic place for butterfly release they are called flutterby butterflies. They are based in Toowoomba and the web site address is www.flutterbybutterflies.com.
My wedding is in October next year and we have themed the entire thing around butterflies we are even having live butterflies in glass gardens as our centre pieces on the bridal table. I thought of this as cruel at firt but after we realease them. The entire wedding is going to be at woodlands marburg. Can't wait. Good luck girls.

Welcome newbies Kitti1, masala,& Mocha_D. Most places do not allow butterfly releases because they can wreak havoc on the surrounding flora and fauna. Their pupa stage can eat several hundred times their weight in leaves and fruit! So be careful when ordering them for release.
