Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?

So, I watched "Whose Wedding Is It Anyway" this week. There were 2 African American couples planning their weddings. Yes, two! One couple was in Baltimore and one couple was in LA. The LA wedding was interesting to say the least. The bride was 10 years older than the groom, but she didn't seem at all comfortable about her age. Although beautiful, she worked like a mad woman to lose weight in hopes of appearing not just thinner but also younger. I know he loved her just as she was or else he wouldn't have wanted to marry her. They showed her bridesmaids trying on their dresses, and it was just so sad. Because her friends were older than his friends, she decided to make her friends look younger by putting them in these ill-fitting 80's looking prom dresses. I was like, "Oh, no, of all the beautiful bridesmaid dresses out there, why?" These sistahs were plus size with large breasts. The dresses had halter tops with plunging necklines and were tight right down to the hip areas emphasizing their large breasts and hips. Now the bride's gown was absolutely gorgeous and fit just right, so I know she has great taste. Anyway, at their outdoor wedding, right before the minister announced them as husband and wife, two of the bridesmaids collapsed from the heat and had to be carried out. My jaw dropped! Anyway, the minister continued, and finished the ceremony.
Did anyone see this episode? If you haven't seen it, you've got to see it.
the details were BEAUTIFUL and the bride looked damn good..but I agree with VI-the dresses were not flattering to all of her ladies, and then she had the NERVE to get upset because her girls were dropping like flies from the heat..but these are things for future brides to take notice of because the outside wedding was gorgeous, but you do have to take heat into consideration
I watched it also and I agree with VI the dresses were a hot mess and I hate to spoil it for those that haven't watched it I almost feel off my bed when I two of the bridesmaids fell out during the ceremony.A little voice say Lord that is a very bad sign. But i think she put them in those horrible dresses so she wouldn't be upstaged to tell u the truth. LOL

Theresa, that segment needs to be added to one of those "Things Not to Do for Your Wedding" shows. LOL! I agree, she must not have wanted to be upstaged. Her gown was so glamourous, though, I don't see how she thought she was in any danger of that. The worst thing you can do for any woman is to put her in clothes that are ill-fitting or not age appropriate. We always look our best when the clothes fit right and are appropriate for our age. Have Mercy! It must have been extremely hot outside that day in L.A. Afterall, people have outdoor weddings all the time. It's probably better to have your event in the morning or late afternoon-evening (like we did), though, not in the middle of the day. I have no idea what time their ceremony was held.
Cheers to the Baltimore coordinator, though, for hooking up that 80's recption hall. She really worked it out.
