Please join us for the latest session of our online Alumni Lecture Series on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 2 p.m. Eastern time. In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the topic, "The Use of Humor in Coping with Breast Cancer" will be presented by Dr. Enid Schwartz, a Walden doctoral recipient and author.

About the Speaker
Enid Schwartz earned her Ph.D. in Psychology with a specialization in Health Psychology from Walden University in 2006. Her dissertation focused on using humor to cope with breast cancer. Schwartz earned a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Phoenix and a master’s in nursing with a focus on gerontology from The University of Arizona. A registered nurse since 1965, she is a member of The International Society for Humor Studies and the Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor. Schwartz is the author of Humor in Healthcare: The Laughter Prescription.
