Ok Ladies, I know that there is alot going on in my world...but
about a month or so ago, I started thinking about having a party with the theme A Night in Hollywood/The Oscars. I want to have a dinner party for about 50 ppl (mostly couples). I started planning it out and buying for it. Now my small problem is I dont know whether it should be done as my birthday party, which is in March, or as our 1st Anniversary party. What do you ladies think???
so far I have bought, fake oscars to give away for different categories-
best dressed
best dancer
first to RSVP
furthest traveler
cant think of anything else.
I have the red carpet, the wall backdrops, the colors will be black, gold and silver.
Both are ok, but if you do your anniversary, your husband will be included and you guys could have a "private affair birthday celebration" with just you and him -- LOL!. Let us know what you decide.
BTW -- Love your theme!!!!!
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
Sounds like fun. Don't forget to have someone play the role of paparazzi. Like Sweet P said, I would probably do it as a birthday party and something a little more intimate for anniversary.
"I'm a work in progress, God is not through me yet"
yes i do have someone playing paparazzi. My Best Friend is taking classes for photography now, so this is her first event and practice, and my cousin who is already a photographer will be taking flicks as well.
Wow Shy, that sounds soo fun. Are the Vibride sistas invited, Lol J/K.
Anywho, I agree with the other ladies when they say that your Anniversary should be a little more intimate, with that said it should be done for your birthday because thats when people really like to let loose and have fun with friends and family. Happy planning.
Sure you ladies are definitely welcome to come!!!
I do see it you ladies' way now with doing this for my bday instead. So I will be doing it for my bday
dang Shy that sounds like a great and fun b-day party! lovin' the theme and the colors!!! have it on 3/15 and have a drink for "The Johnsons" (us) because we will be celebrating our 1st anniversary that weekend too! LOL
Hey Shy, this chick from ATL did this theme for her 30th b-day party. They even rented a drive-in screen and sat outside and watched a movie. I know it's too cold in March for that but just wanted you to see the theme in action and maybe get a few ideas:
Thanks Keepup! That would definitely be a nice touch if the weather wasn't cold during my bday or should i say unpredictable...but i am looking at what else she had for ideas. Thanks!
