I'm glad that you're back Mrs080908. You looked so wonderful and happy on your treasured day. Maybe when you have some time, you could fill us in on the details of your day. The pictures are great!!!
Wow, you look gorgeous. I love the fullness of your veil and your dress is beautiful. Can't wait to see more pics. Love the details on the cake also. What color was your cake? It looks sorta tan in the pic.

Okay here are the details we got to New York and the next day was August 1, and we had our bachelor and bachelorette parties. Separate but I had a ball still. My girls took me out to dinner then to this male review and then to the club. My maid of honor surprised me when my matron came out of no where it was my first time seeing her in 2 years since she lives in England. Then the rest of the week we were shopping for last minute things.

Ok while DH is showering let me give you the run down.
August 8, 2008 The rehearsal I woke up to try to pick up some things from cleaners ie my dress and the flower girl dresses needed to be steamed. People were still calling to see if they could come to the reception so I still had to do a final count and redo my seating chart. My fiance had me packing his clothes and sending them with my cousin for him to wear something nice since he stayed with his best man a few days before the wedding. I told everyone that rehearsal would start at 1 even though I knew it was suppose to start at 2 but they are almost never on time. Remember I said they are never on time. Well all the late birds were on time and I ended up getting there at 2 and DH at 2 30. Everything that could happen did my youngest daughter locked me out my mother's house and I left my car keys in the house. Had to wait for someone to bring me keys so I could make it to the rehearsal. Mind you my uncle (springbride360's dad was the minister) had 2 rehearsals to do and mines was first. By the time we were done it was 4 00. I stayed to help my Matron and Cordinator decorate. Let me stop I watched them as they decorated.
Then 4 30 comes and my matron rental SUV won't start so I try to give her a jump and nothing was happening. I was being so selfish I had to check myself. At first I was like why should was the battery on my still new Toyota Corolla and be late to my own wedding but my matron is really great because even after I tried to help she was like boo go to your dinner and I will be right behind you. Well I had 2 of my bridesmaids with me and the rest were at the restaurant waiting. I am always the one waiting for them but they were waiting for me and you would have thought the world was gonna end. My phone was ringing non stop. My FIL would not let anyone go in until I got there. He loves me! LOL So when I got there at 5 30 they were ready to eat. Here is a picture from the rehearsal.

Ok so details here I go almost a month later. I had 7 in my bridal party and only two of them got there hair done the day before the rehearsal so that meant we all had to get our hair done the day of the wedding. So we had appointments at the Dominicans in Harlem for 7 in the morning not to mention my flower girls had appointments at a different beauty salon Oh yeah my mom decides she needs her hair done also at the same salon as the rest of us. So I was a heactic morning and my phone would not stop ringing. My salon was down the block from one of the best men's house which was the guys headquarters. At this point my matron and maid are silently mad at me due to them disagreeing about which of them should hold DH ring and who should walk down first and who should toast to me first. I ignored them and continued to enjoy my morning. So my beautician is chatting with me about how things have been since I been gone in VA. Then she mentions that I should eat something since it would be a long day. Okay know all the girls are hungry and I am getting angry. So we send the guys to get breakfast. I eat some toast to satisfy my mother telling me "You are gonna be sick". My mom, maid of honor and me are done by 11. So that leaves 5 more girls that need to be complete before 1. LOL My you one of my cousins decides she needs a perm. LoL Slowly my blood is getting hot but my over dramatic Maid of Honor is so nervous I forget it's my wedding. My mother then all of sudden remembers she didn't do the only thing I asked her to do get the programs to the church. I am still calm. My 2 bridesmaid who are still at my Nana's call me and tell the photographer is there and the makeup artist also. To top it off my mom asks me to take her to get her nails done at 12. I almost lost it but I told her to drop me and MOH off and handle her business. Okay 1:00 is here I take my nice bath yes bath and my wedding is at 2 but I needed to relax. My phone is still ringing off the hook and I am not even trying to look for it. So I get out the tub and it 1 30 and only me 2 bridemaids MaidOH, FG, And broom carrier are ready. LOL I was a laughing fool. the other girl say they are on there way from the beauty salon. 1:30 and the Limos are outside. The girls come in and I am still calm. But it's 2 and I am ready to go. Everyone is dressed and ready by 2:30 and the photographer decides he wants to take pictures. I said forget it and lets go. As soon as I walk out to the street I step right in a big wad of gum. Okay know I am bridezilla 7 of yall go out before me and I am the one to step in gum. Whatever. we get to the ceremony and everyone is outside waiting for me I tell my matron to get the people inside so we can start. It starts and it looks like I am at a funeral tears on everyones faces. But DH was like it's me and you ignore everything else. Everything was smooth sailing except for the maid and matron balling through the vows I had to stop and tell them it's okay. These are like my sisters. WE ARE MARRIED NOW!!!!!!!!
I was happy and sad at the same time. I was gonna miss planning.
