It's about time that I have a space to myself without committing to an entire webpage, or blowing up and hijacking someone elses thread.
I've come to this decision after basically pouring out all of my plans and hijacking this poor thread. LOL!:

Favorite Webpages:
- I like The Knot.com and all of those other easy to remember pages, these are just random pages I ran into and enjoy.
Offbeat bride chatroom- I love chatting with this bunch. They are so diverse with their ideas.
Adrianne Curry's webpage- This is how I am going to set up my webpage once I post pictures of my wedding.
sounds great. May I just suggest that you don't skimp on the photography. That is the reason for the wedding. Just kidding. I would at least have them make one album for you. You can copy that of print out some from the disks. And can I get the lowdown on the ebay flower makers. I dont want fresh bouquets cuz if there is one wilted flower I will go balistic! I like your ideas though. Very pretty.

So very glad you started a blog, now you could just add things to it as you accomplish your tasks. Of course, no need to say that we would like to see pics of step by step accomplishments. I'm thinking of doing the same. I will start my blog in October as that'll put me at my 1 year countdown to my wedding and I'll post all the things that I've accomplished as they get done as well, just like MrsKeepUp kept us glued to the pages of her blog.
We will see what the popular "We will work with your budget" policy that we keep hearing can do for us. Otherwise, I'm sold on the idea of sending my pictures off to one of these businesses that will make a personalized wedding book:
>Sample Wedding Photo Book
Edit
I'm going to display my wedding photos through this company. This is just fantastic!
I've seen these at Borders. They are very affordable and would be good enough for me.
I've got to be honest; the silk flowers I have will do, but nothing beats having the soft and fragrant real thing. We were satisfied by only spending $120 on silk flowers that we can provide for everybody involved in our wedding party instead of $400 to $500 for only four real bouquets.
I honestly dont have any ideas as far as what to do with my FH as far as his dress and style. I'll just let him and his boys bounce ideas off each other.

Hi Butter,
Why don't you take a cue from our outdoor wedding and have your guys in tan suites and monochromatic shirts with ties in one of your wedding colors. Only my groom wore a white shirt with tie. They looked very handsome.
Your suits could even be a lighter tan or beige than those. We went to Men's Wharehouse and put the ensemble together ourselves. The sales assistant wasn't much help. He was like, "Oh, that looks pretty good." LOL! My husband also bought the shirt and tie in the light coral colors for himself to wear later on because they looked so good together.
Keep an eye on what the men are selecting. You don't want them looking a hot mess! :oD Sometimes they have no clue whatsoever.

Yes Diva T. We're getting married on October 31st, 2009 in New York. Remember my post that FH had me sign a contract to reduce the time because he didn't see the point in waiting too long? Originally, it was going to be the summer of 2010 because I'm so very busy. But I'm committed to keeping my clients very happy and planning my wedding at the same time. I put a freeze on new clients for a while so that I don't feel too overwhelmed.

Don't worry Butterbean, I have a list of DIY Projects that seems to keep growing day by day. It's a great thing that I've got time and am so anal about keeping a schedule. I will post everything so that you could see my progress.
Wow ...a Halloween Wedding! :) Did you stay with your color theme ..the pink and gold? I also THINK I remember your dress being pink with burgundy ...or atleast one of the dress ...I just remember that one cause it was my favorite :)

It is a great dress, isn't it? We've committed to the October 31st date, but come to think of it, now that you mention it, it is Halloween isn't it? I'm going to speak with FH now. I can't be married on Halloween!!! Nice looking out Diva T.
ooooooooooooooooohhhhh Wow! You didn't know October 31st is Halloween? That's interesting ...anywho after you guys talk it over and work another contract ...let us know what you come up with.

Ok, I had to disturb FH as he's watching the Olympics. Anywhoo, we talked about it and the man was clueless as to when Halloween was too. Christians can't get married on halloween!!! Until Diva T mentioned it, I was also clueless.
We have now opted for October 17th, 2009. I called the banquet hall hosting our reception, and the only available date they had in October was the 17th and they were very accomodating in changing the date for us. PHEW!!! Dodging a great bullet!!! Wow, it's very stressful being on the other side isn't it? I am the picture of calm when I'm planning a wedding for any client, but thinking of my own wedding and my heart starts to race!!! Ok, I think what I need is a great big glass of Margarita. I'm back to being calm now and am proceeding with this wedding planning. Wow, thanks so much T.

Girl, I bit off more than I can chew by having this wedding a lot sooner than anticipated. I'm so swanped with the other weddings that I've already been contracted to do, most of the time, I don't know if I'm coming or going. That's why I've decided to put a freeze on any new business. I cannot handled new business and plan my wedding at the same time. I spend so much time in the air and in hotels that by the time I get home, I'm even happy when the elevator doesn't work (LMAO).
OK, I'm back in control now. Oh and the contract between FH and I was a joke. It was when I told him that I couldn't see us being married any sooner than summer of 2010 and he was saying that he didn't see waiting for that long. After arranging to fit myself in the schedule, I decided to compromise. We went back and forth with each other so much and when he suggested October 31st, I just say fine, ok Papi. I didn't even look at a calendar. Next thing I know this man was making me sign a contract not to break my word (HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!) Now that I'm on full planning mode, believe me, I'll be paying just as close attention to everything as though I were my own client!!!
wow G...you have a full plate and a half..remember YOUR DAY is the most important one so don't stress yourself out too much...they may have to wheel you into your own ceremony in a straight jacket! :(

I plan on strutting myself down the aisle like the true Diva that I am. From Mid June, 2009, my plate will officially have been cleared of any business and my concentration will be on my own wedding full force. Thanks for looking out though sisters. Believe me, I will not be wheeled anywhere. I've been looking forward to marrying this man for a while now and nothing will stand in my way!!! WHOHOOOOOO!!!

I'm so very excited Sen, even FH has cought the planning bug and always asking "so what is on our planning calendar this month?" and I keep on saying "nothing, we haven't got anything to start planning for just yet!" and him saying "Ok Mommy, I'm here for you". He's so sweet, I hope he doesn't get on my nerves though. I love by baby, but if he gets on my nerves, I have a lot of mundane things all set up just to keep him busy.
I guess just as you didn't know Halloween is October 31st EVERY YEAR ...I didn't know Christians couldn't get married on Halloween ...it's just another day ...from what I thought. Oh well, learned something else new! LOL

My pastor told me that christians couldn't get married on Halloween as it's the devil's day. According to him, it's the one day that the devil has to really cause serious havoc. Hence the reason why christians should not dress or celebrate halloween. I don't know Diva, but that's what my pastor said. I never pay much attention to halloween because we never celebrated it, so it's not a date that has much importance to me.
How ya'll gonna straight hijack Butterbean's Blog. Butterbean I apologize for the behaviors of our sista's (Rhony & Soontobe does me apologizing for something I didn't do get me out the corner?)
Ginoue you got to start your own blog so we can all follow along with what's new with your planning.
Butterbean although the pics aren't posted here, I love the dresses you picked for your BM's. Especially the color. I'm anxiously awaiting your day so I can finally see how it all comes together. I love how everything you've selected. It's all very unique but I'll admit, I was looking forward to having a colored wedding dress like you posted when you first joined the sisterhood. I think it was Gwen Stefani's dress you posted. I still love the final choice though.
Can you post your pics of your choices so far here in your blog as well? Future raised the bar with posting pics in her blog so we now got standards to live up to..LOL

I guess I'll remain permanently in the corner for my bad behavior.
Butterbean, I'm ever so sorry for my behavior. Lord do I feel ashamed of myself. At the request of my sister Pamcrow, I will now start my blog. I was going to start in October, but I'll do so now, so my sisters could follow my train of thought along with me and also give much needed and welcomed adive.
I struggle with the Halloween thing as a Christian b/c I love to wear a little costume to work etc. It is hard with all holidays being over commercialized. I am a Christmas fanatic and some people think that is pagan withthe trees and Santas.
Sorry Butterbean back to your wedding planning.
What I meant to say was I love everything you've chosen so far and that I had been looking forward to you picking a colored dress like the Gwen Stefani's dress you posted. I do like the short style you ultimately chose though.

Ok Butterbean sister, I've officially started my blog. I apologize once more for highjacking your blog. BACK TO YOUR DETAILS NOW. AGAIN, I'M EVER SO SORRY SISTER.
Carry on. I have no problems with you guys holding other conversations. I can set everything up around you guys. LOL
Hi Princess!
Your guys look very handsome in their suits. The problem is getting my honey used to wearing something other than black. That's what I get for hooking up with a conservative. I've pointed out tanned suits to him before, be he wouldn't hear of it. Now I'm worried that he is going to look more formal than me.
Pam, you have an excellent memory. I'm not a fan of dresses with a lot of material, but Gwen's dress was just awesome!
I've checked out green dresses, but they looked more suitable for prom than the look I was going for.
I also admit that green just isnt my color.
I'll dig up inspiration pictures, and will even make some that are photoshopped to where they look like my wedding. I just wish that we can embed videos in here, but this messageboard just blocks them out.
Wow, if anyone ever want to go for a southern themed wedding, I will direct them straight for that webpage. I do like the lime colored dress. There is something carribean about it.
Dont mind me here...I'm just mourning the reception venues that I had lost.
Winfrey Point - They require us to book them at least 1 year in advance.
It had a marvelous veiw of the city across White Rock Lake. *sniff* *sob* Then there was the Texas Discovery Gardens.
It was so beyootiful. *sniff*
*sniff* *sob* Here is the hall where we were going to have the reception. *sniff* *sniff* *sniff*
Edit: Two different color linens with my centerpiece photoshopped in *I a nice way to spend a Sunday evening*:
They almost look creepy. Back to the drawing board.
Thanks Ginoue. I'm thinking about running to my baker with pictures I find on the web. So far, I just dropped $395 for a white chocolate and strawberry champagne cake for 125 people.
Butterbean I just checked out the websites of your photographers and they have some nice shots, especially the Dale person. The Sharon lady touched my heart by mentioning she does work with NICU. So touching.
"I'm a work in progress, God is not through me yet"
Your ideas are nice Butterbean. I like the bridesmaid dress. And the rain pics a very nice but remember black peoples hair and rain does not mix Lol so be very careful.
Sen, I am LMAO,
Girl, I wasnt blessed with good hair like my sister. She can wash and wear anyday, BUT ME, I have to have a relaxer faithfully eeeevery 6 weeks. So needless to say, I am praying that it dont rain on our day.
Butterbean I love your ideas. are you doing an outside wedding? I'm sure you said it already, butI probably missed it somewhere in your blog. Sorry
Ok Butterbean we have a problem, there's no way you can wear that gorgeous dress with anything else than heels. Remember you trying to show them legs off..lol. What about laying down a wood board underneath the aisle runner so you can strut yourself down the aisle without sinking. There's always the option of a wedge heel but admittedly, a wedge heel doesn't have the same effect on dress as a stiletto.
"I'm a work in progress, God is not through me yet"
Wooden boards under the runner. Gotcha. hehe Yeah, I'll need to have my boats in style with that dress. Thanks ladies.
Alright. I've decided to save some cheddar and make my own broom. I'm surprised by how easy it was to do. Plus I put an old *bleep*tail dress into some good use by wrapping it around the handle. Does that count for my "something old"? LOL
VIPrincessBride,
I've batted my eyes and got FH's mind open to wear a tanned suit. We went shopping yesterday and found some cute ones in a shade darker than the ones your groomsmen wore. He looked very handsome in it.
Edit (9-1-08):
This is where I'm going to post up groomsmen stuff. It's more for me so that I can keep my pictures "closer together". *only I will understand that* hehe
We went to a tux place and had someone to match a tanned suit to the same colors of the bridemaid dresses.
Ew.
So I'm going to be a bit more flexible to the shade of the green and consider a patterned tie like so:
