DH just informed me that he graduates 10/16 and I on 10/19, so you KNOW I gotta do it up for us ..thinking 10/25!!
This is DH THIRD time trying to finish, but dealing with the space alien prior to me ...he stopped going twice! I don't want him to stop although he's graduating, but dude looking at this like ....Man, I'm just happy for the one degree ...and yall know what -I am too. But for me, I'm not stopping ..it's way too much I want do!
I'm so happy for him ...I just wanted to share it with my girls!
And the planning begins!!! (again) ..Anybody has ideas?
Thanks Girls!! That's what I was thinking ...but my cousin suggested our place ...I think it's a little too small for that type of event BUT it was save money in the 2 months I have to plan for it ...
Naw...if possible have it somewhere else where you won't have to worry about the before and after clean-up of the crib!! this is about YALL so you don't want to have to do too much leg work!! :)

CMT - about maybe 30ish ...ok maybe my place IS out. Maybe a banquet room at a hotel? I'll come up something ... oh and it'll be to chilly here to have it outside.

Thanks ladies, I have decided on doing something at home (to begin with) for our olders in the family that want to attend and give their congrats. It'll be from 3-7pm. We'll have graduation cap cut invites with a tassel inside informing everyone of the after party. We'll have a DVD playing on the flat of pics of us with "Never Would Have Made It" playing in the background ...since we are eachother inspiration! We'll use black and yellow as our colors to decorate ...and for you Pamcrow ...we'll wear black T-shirts (it's laid back durning the day) with our theme written on the front in yellow .."The Couple Who Studies Together, Graduate Together!" with 2008 on the back. We'll have graduation cap boxes filled candy and HERS/HIS Graduate Bars as favors ...we'll play a few games ...clear it out ..and get ready for the after party!

Love that! Great ideas for the invites as well. Do they have some that you can print and tear out (preforated) or will you have to cut them yourself?
You HAVE to do a table runner or banner also! After what you did with mine I KNOW you can rock something nice for this event! Congrats to you and Tony! So proud!

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS TO BOTH YOU AND TONY. Wow, already graduation time? Time sure flies by when you're not looking. I know that you and Tony worked so hard to get to this point in your lives. BLOW IT UP DIVA!!!!!! I love the ideas that you have so far and wow, what a great theme!!! We're both in Maryland sister so I can tell you that anything outdoor is out of the question. Having it in your house make it both intimate and persanable for you, your husband and the elders of both families. Great time factor with keeping the elders in mind and the after party, well hell, we all know you know how to do it Diva.
So again Nikki, congrats to you and Tony both on your accomplishments. Many more to come.

LMAO!!!! Sen, that is so funny. I didnt even notice we were talking about Maryland. LOL. We dont have much of a winter here in Texas, never any snow. just a little ice from time to time. So an outside party definetly will not work. LOL
