Well, I guess its time to start my blog since my BIG DAY is approaching fast. I'm pretty much set on the big stuff, BUT the small details, at this point, is a bit overwhelming. But I'm doing my best not to stress.(THATS MY GOAL)
I still need to find an INEXPENSIVE cake topper. The top tier on my cake is only 5 inches across, so it cant be too big.
I also need to find a guest book ( A very elegant one)
I'll try to post a picture of my cake.....

My top tier cake was small too. WE had the people simply add roses on top and we stuck a double-heart topper in it...it came out great. It was easy and the topper came from Walmart.
Pebbles, I love ebay and did see some great things out there but I didnt want to pay that much for shipping for such a small item. (being cheap at this point) LOL
Bumble, I was thinking of doing just that, using the flowers as the topper and I did see a double heart pick at oriental trading for $2.95. Grfeat Idea.
Thanks Mycenae, i need to try those places. I Can't believe I haven't checked WalMart yet. I'm the WalMart queen what was I thinking. LOL
i agree wit the ladies ure cake is georgius CMT and i think its gonna look very elegant from how ure describing it !! good luck with ure up coming wedding girl
CMT I think with such a small top tier, just doing flowers without a topper would be very nice. Unless its "personalized" or it somehow adds to the overrall theme of the wedding, I think toppers are such a waste of money. Alot of times toppers can make the cake look cheap so you want to be careful of that as well.

Yes Pamcrow, we are going to decorate that area with tulle and flowers. There will also be an arch made with two pillars, tulle, and fresh flowers that will help accent the decor in the room.
Well, we did the food tasting on yesterday and it was sooooo delicious. It was really hard to make up our minds but we eventually did. My future MIL finally found her dress (WHEW!!! Now that was a challenge) We also found some of the gifts that are going in the bridesmaids gift bags. So overall, we had a very productive day on yesterday.
Okay..So I made a mock centerpiece. Let me know what you ladies think.
I will be doing tall centerpieces on some of the tables and smaller ones on the others so the room dont look to crowded. My florist is doing the tall ones because I am doing fresh flowers and I have no clue how to do a floral arrangement.
Here's what the tall piece will look like....
And here's the mock piece that I'm doing for the smaller ones...
Still brainstorming on the smaller ones. Any suggestions???
Thanks Shy. I thought about adding the crystals but didnt have any when I made those. But I think the Crystals are going to look better, I'm just not feeling those petals.

Magnificent venue CMT. I'm with Pamcrow on dressing the Trailings with tuling and flowers. It would look breathtaking. Your floral arangements are great!!!
CMT, your venue is gorgeous! It is simple and elegant. I also wanted to congratulate you on your progress. Everything seems to be pulling together wonderfully. Oh btw, the centerpieces look really good too.

I agree with Shy. There's something about mirrors for centerpieces that I don't like. I used just the crystal ice and petals under ours and it looked beautiful.
However, for your event, since you're going with tall florals, I suggest short florals as well to balance it out even if they are silk.
Thanks ladies for the ideas. I've been so busy lately with the last minute stuff, I haven't had time to re-create my small centerpiece. The bridesmaids are ready except for a few minor alterations (hems).
here is a picture of the MOH dress in platinum and the bridesmaids will have the same dress in lavender.
Hey Ladies, I've been MIA on my little blog because I've been trying to tie up loose ends before my big day.
We went and got the marriage license and my ring on yesterday. I am so in love with my ring, I didnt want to take it off after trying it on after having it sized.
I did my fitting for my gown also. I just have to have it taken up in the bust area. My FH was fitted for his tux on yesterday also.
IT'S GETTING CLOSE LADIES!!!! I'M SO EXCITED AND I JUST CAN'T HIDE IT!
OKAY LADIES.....
I'm sorry!!!! I had to edit thse pics to take my head off. I just couldn't stand to see myself. I didnt make my hair appointment that day and it was kinda early and I woke up running so I wasn't made up yet.
I'm sure you all understand. You know how it is... AS DIVAS, we have an image to uphold RIGHT???!!!!
CMT your dress is gorgeous. I really like the bodice part. Detail on veil is very nice also. Does it come as a one tier? With the way your dress is made in the back, a one tier might better compliment the look. .

Your gown is beautiful and you look great in it. Who's the designer? I think the 2-tier veil is fine. There aren't too many details in the back and you can see everything right thru it.
I think I'm going to have to do like Oprah and start crashing some weddings just to see everything or start my own bizness too.
The detailing on the first tier falls perfectly but the second tier of veil falls in an akward postion on the back of dress. It lands right where the swooping drape is which in my opinion is not where a bride would want the eye drawn. I think a two tier veil could indeed work but only if the second tier was longer, maybe cathedral length. Just my honest opinion. But hey, like they say, opinions are like A-holes, we all have one.

Thanks Ladies.
LOL. PAMCROW... GO TO THE CORNER MA'AM...LMAO
But, I think you are absolutely right. This is not the actual veil that I purchased with my gown. It was still in the bag. We pulled this one off the rack just to get a visual of the complete look. My second tier is longer. I'll post another picture at the final fitting.
