Hey sisters,
FH and I are really thinking about changing our venue. We found the most wonderful venue online which is also in Portland (the same city as the the original venue we wanted to go with). From the online pics (we all know pics can be deceiving) it looks to fit us and the look we're to a "T" (not to mention a very reasonable price) .. Sure we'd have to be responsible for more of the "man" power, but we're willing. Besides we want to buy a home not too long after the wedding (we're moving to the Maryland/DC area to be closer to family.. And.. sistas ya'll know how expensive that will be). Anyway we're planning to meet with the coordinator next week Thursday.. SO please pray the actual venue holds a flame to the pics... whew...

Ok, so the venue in Portland was nice but.. cost wise and size wise we thought we could do better.. And we think we did..
We found a beautiful chapel.. in Salem the city where we live.. FH mother will be happy (she wasn't too excited when she found out we weren't planing to get married in church). So the details of the contract for the church are being written up..We have also found a venue we will be checking out on Friday.. Hopefully it will be The One! I'll post pics of the church once I get home..

I'm so very happy that you've both found a church that please both of you. As for the reception venue,not to worry, I'm confident that you will find something you both like very soon and the thing about saving money,well, that's the name of the game. Save as much as you can so you can have your dream home soon afterwards.
