hi ladies , i got a problem with fh , hes soo over protective on him self when he done wrong, and it gets to the point when it drives me mad and i loose my cool , like whenever he does something i dont like or say something i dont like and i express my feelings to him he will just try to protect him self first and then we start debating about it when it gets really bad thats when hell start apologising , he just hates to be wrong at all cost , some times it goes to the point where we have a serious argument about how protective he is of him self ,he just cant swallow his pride it takes him a long A**DEBATE to make him see that hes wrong or admit it , soo sosmetimes i ask my self is this how things are gonna go on forever ??cos we love each other soo much and we cant wait to get married,we never really argue often but everytime we do its the same thing and i get scared u girls , im even scared to express my feelings sometimes cos im afraid he will start protecting himself and make it sound like im wrong for even saying anything , he just always wanna be right :( is it a normal thing for men to always wanna be right and dont like swallowing their pridesand ? if soo how do i deal with it ??it frustraight me soo much
Girl, does your FH have a brother by the name of Stephen Johnson?!?!? (my DH) I swear this is him-but baaaaby, I don't back down from him and he comes around with the quickness!! honestly for me, it hasn't stopped YET-and you can't make a leopard change his spots...so sometimes when he starts acting that way, I don't even waste my breath "debating" with him---once you get to this point, it will be much easier to deal with!! now, I said SOMETIMES because other times it is on and popping--we say what we have to say to each other and then it is a wrap--we are ok-after his apoligies (again) :)
My DH hates to be wrong also and depending on the seriousness of the offense, I don't even bother to debate it with him anymore because he will NEVER really admit defeat. He will give a sarcastic "you're right, I'm wrong, I'm sorry" but he says it in a way that you know he doesn't mean it, he just wants to stop talking about it.

ooh pam girl thats exacly the quote FH will use on me too lol and god help me i hate that sarcasm like ''yeah im wrong ure right ''it just makes me wanna blow up cos i know he aint mean it .
When my husband loses, he'll change the subject to a different arguement thinking he'll win that one, when he loses that (like he did the last time we argued about it) he'll change again! Before I know it, we are arguing about 5 different things!

Definitely a man thing.
I don't waste my time with FH antics.
He thinks he does nothing wrong. Like driving my car and not putting gas back in it. That makes me so mad and he always has some sort of logical reason to make it seem like he has done nothing wrong.
I second and third that one. It is a MAN THING. But I never back down either and I don't think it helps the situation any so sometimes I just say whatever and keep it movin. Sweetie you are not the only one going through it TRUST!

Olgah, it's a MAN THING!!! My FH frustrates the crap out of me, but I'm learning not to let me stress me so. Eventually, you'll find your own way to manage as we all have.
