I just had to brag on my babes. My husband is a cop and last week he (along with some other cops) got honored for going WAY above and beyond the call of duty. In January he and another officer went on a call for a fire. Instead of just calling the fire department and hope for the best, they were able to do something and contain the fire that could have caused major damage. I live in Charlotte NC and at that time we were on a major drought. The whole county was under serious water restrictions, no watering your lawn, washing your car, etc, they were even starting to think about only allowing the water to run at certain times of days for certain counties. It was that bad. I said all of that to say if they would not have stepped in and contained the fire, it could have spread to several houses and other buildings. All the firemen had to do once they got on site was make sure everything else was in order. He got honored in an award ceremony by all the "top dogs". I'm so proud of him!....that's it....just had to share....lol
You know what, we could make this a topic. Share some things that your hubby or FH have done that you are proud of. Whether it's for their jobs, church, school, you, your family...whatever....

Way to go Soon. You have every reason to be proud of your FH. He is truly an inspiration to others of his field. I am ever so grateful for officers like him.
I understand how you feel, my hubby is also in the military. He's in the army reserves. He's been to Iraq, Bosnia, and some other places I can't pronounce. I pray every day for those that are over there and also pray that my hubby won't have to go back.
Congrats to your hubby Soon!!! That is so wonderful to hear. i wish we could hear more good stories about cops like this...
and my prayers are with the military men and women always.
Well my DH, started a new job (the Monday after we got married) working in NY-in the plumbing Union. he has been waiting for that for a long time now...
He also is an aspiring hip hop artist and is doing his first video shoot this weekend. To celebrate the video, I am taking him out on the town...
