I am so excited !!Well as many of u already we were thinking of postponing the wedding but things are now coming together.Today is my make up trial. Next Saturday is my bridal shower.
And to tell let you in on some of the planning stages.I enlisted a prior bride to be to assist me with the DIY projects i wasn't able to do myself she is currently working on my CD favors as well as my cake topper and letters for my candy station. My wedding planner brought over a mock program for my approval and it looked like something my 11 year old could of done!!! But I took my sister advice (G)and just walked away and said how can i make this better because in our first meeting i told her i wanted layered programs and she was like no problem we can do it and then i asked her what happen to the layered program (because she brought me a 8x11 white piece if cardstock folded in half with wedding info in the inside and she scanned our wedding invite and placed that as the cover)so anyway she went on to say that she never priced layered programs and would get back to me!!!Nothing yet!!! But I am not gonna let the devil steal my joy as my future mother in law says!!
Well today my bridesmaids are going to pick up there dresses.We had a little issue that the dresses i choose didn't come with shawls.So now we are talking them to David's bridal to get the matched up to have them order shawls that will get here in time.
Well ladies pray for me because when i have to get these ladies together nothing ever gets done!!! LOL

I'm glad you found my advice helpful in walking away. Now listen, if the programs are not exactly as you want them to be, let her pull and all-nighter and get them together. That is so unprofessional to do your own thing while the client ask for something specific.

Got a few updates took bridesmaids to Davids Bridal they thought the shawls were to expensive and wanted to go to fabric store and have the made.(I told u ladies it is always something with this group!!!)LOL
So i go get some fabric and it is the last of the fabric any of the store have so. So I meet with my wedding planner to finalize music and her friend is a seamstress and she tells me it is not enough fabric because all my girls are plus size more is need as well she will chg the 5.00 less to make then the bridal shop. They could have had them on their way at this point!!! But NOOOOOOO!!! that is much like right.
Makeup trial-Went well I had one bridesmaids said she doesn't wear makeup and didn't want to wear any but after watching everyone else look nice she decided to try and she looked gorgeous !!!!!Thank GOD!!!!!!
Finalization of design of cake is tommorrow.Working on cd favors at this point.And starting over with programs.Changed FH tux color to black instead of white.
Got last of containers for candy station.
Letters are being done for candy station as well as cake topper.

Teresa, sounds like all is going well for you, what will you do now about the shawls? 5.00 more does not sound like much, I think they should have went with Davids bridal then they would not have to worry about having enough fabric because they would have just took their measurements and that would of been it.
Besides that everythng else seems to be going well for you. Good Luck.
Shawls are up in the air at this point needs another 9 yards of fabric for all the bridesmaids to get their shawls done !! I am currenly still searching.
Bridal Shower went very well !!!!!!!!!Beautiful Location and fun games as well as some adult entertainment ladies !!!LOL

Teresa if you can't find more of the satin fabric, you might can find some matching organza or chiffon in the same color and use that to cap off both ends of the fabric you already have creating a shawl that is satin in the middle and chiffon/organza on the ends.
Sounds like you had a blast at the shower. Can't wait to see the pics.

I have to fess up I am not on DIY person I actually found someone to make this items for me and she is very good !!!!!!!!!!!!!And a wonder to work with !!!
But some thanks do go to her and my wedding planners that did the flowers !!!
Hi Teresa, everything looks beautiful- How exciting. I like the 3/4th pairs of earrings, because they seem to be a little simpler, and your dress is very ornate, so you really dont need too much more. You will be stunning. I LOVE THE BOY SHORTS wow, yeah that is a nice touch if. My FH would propose to me all over again if he saw me in those!!
Congrats Teresa. Everything looks so wonderful. I'm so very proud of you. You may not have done them yourself, but it was your vision that came to fruition, so, a huge pat on the back to you my Diva sister.
As for the earrings, I love all of them. Although, I must admit that they all look very heavy to the ears. What do you think sisters? I like the chandelier look, but try to find one that's not so heavy to the lobes.
I am loving #3 myself but it might be to heavy I think. But I have to order today to get by my wedding !!WOW !!How time flies !!
Thanks for all the compliments and advise. Hairstyle is a very hard subject to address. I am so lost ladies!!! I want my hair down but the dress causes for an elegant up do. I just don't know where to start. I am a weave and wig DIVA !!!So I am hearing don't wear a wig do a weave and I just don't know. I need some help ladies post pictures please !!!
I actually like the hair style the model has showing the back of your dress, just something different in the front. A 1/2 up 1/2 down will work with your dress.
Got to get ballet shoes (white)( I have to walk down a stairway) Any suggestions ladies ???

Girl you are doing real good.
I was checking out some ballet shoes also for my reception at www.bellissimabridalshoes.com but I don't know if they will get to you in time there cost about 40 I think I can't remember but you may want to check it out.
Teresa, you're doing just great and everything looks so wonderful.
Please return to our "sisterhood" often as we will be waiting with info. This is not just a site to help plan weddings, although, we share great advices, but this is a great sisterhood and many have returned to keep the friendship going. So, I hope you will as well.
