Hi ladies I made a wedding inspiration board the othere day and I wanted to share it here with you. My wedding is only next year (date unconfirmed) so I am having lots of fun playing around with themes and colours and looking for dresses etc. So far I am thinking of a rose (as you can probably tell) I also love vintage looking gold. In terms of flowers pale pinks and white. The decor I want to be very light inspired, the reception will probably be at night candle lit and luminous and I have it on good authority that white flowers (and my pale) pink will look really irredescent in the night with candles and thematic lighting.

Great job Dreamgurl. I went to the same sight to try to do mine, but after hours of working on it, when I went to "create" it, there was only a blank box. I don't know what went wrong. Maybe it was the url's from the websites that I was trying to copy and paste from. Oh well.

keithsbride okay...now to be honest that happened to me too
I recommend you use the log in, create an account it only takes a couple of secs, then after that do a trial with a couple of pictures. And that way they will have your pictures stored and it will be less frustrating that way if you get it wrong because you wont need to do the copying and pasting each time, the pictures will just be there. Then once you get the hang of it its much better. Dont give up (it took me a FEW attempts) thats why I am showing everyone. It feels great though to see everything on the same page like that. And I am told that its really handy to remind yourself what you are going for, and also to show to potential vendors...So come on..try again soon x

Deelove it was so small so I tried to resize it, its absolutelty stunning..its so elegant, and . I am so excited for you. BTW hows the baby?? Do you know the sex yet?? I cant believe its already been that long...oops I just noticed you removed yours...were you trying to resize??

Thanx Dreamgurl... yeah, I removed it because it was too small and I didn't know how to resize it.
Well, my little angel or should I say "baby boy" is doing ok. Other than a hectic heartburn & lots of hard kicking from my future Beckham, I can safely say everything is going well.

I learnt to do it on tinypic.com its much easier there because when you upload a picture to 'my stuff' it gives the option to resize and one of the options is for a forum webpage size, if its still too big/small you can also click on the picture and edit. I have a few pictures saved on there now because you can play with them quite a bit. One of the ladies on here told me this secret...

Thanx will try it out sometime.
I'm also super-excited about his emminent arrival even though I'm dreading the birth. His name is a Sotho one and its "Hlonolofatso". Its quite a mouthful but it simply means "Blessing" in English.
He truly is my greatest blessing and with him I feel my life would be complete...

Here's the first one I created. I've tried to add on the wedding gowns, but it wouldn't let me. The website to the gowns will not give me the permission to post them and I can't copy paste anything. It's frustrating. I can't even add the URL as a result. Oh well. I will keep on trying. I must admit though, this was fun.
hat do you guys think? I haven't narrowed anything down yet, but this is a great way to keep on top of things instead of this growing board that I have in my bedroom. Thanks for the suggestion Diva!!!

Gin your inspiration board has the shoes I wore. The third pair pictured with the 1.5 inch heel. VERY comfortable shoe. Mines were dyed champagne and then I put rhinestone and pearl shoe pins on them to jazz them up. I lost one of the pins before the end of the night but oh well, they were cute while they lasted. LOL

okay some things shifted Ginoue when you resized. My shoe is now the first pair on the second row of shoes. I highly recommend these if you are looking for comfort without added height. Ginoue I really like the clear glass plates and place cards. The centerpieces with the three callilillies in the base is gorgeous as well.
Deelove I know i told you before when you posted your wedding dress choices but I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the dress in the top left hand corner of your board.

What a cool thread!
I had to add mine:
My colors are primarily orange with touches of green, mocha and cream. And most of the images are of my own wedding items while other’s I’ve found online.
FYI: I had my last class today and is now FREE and in FULL WEDDING MODE so I hope to be interacting with everyone here a lot more in the next few months.

Hi there homegirl... hope the States is treating you well. Originally ke tswa ko Vaal as in Sharpeville. I was closer to your hometown between 2003 - 2005 when I was based in Pretoria for work b4 relocating to Jhb last year - also because of new job & FH, even though I can't call him that anymore bcos traditionally (lobola wise) we are now husband & wife having finalised everything in December. We haven't set a date yet for the wedding but it should be sometime early next year - hopefully I will be back in shape by then hence I didn't want to rush it by having it soon after baby is born. So is your FH paying lobola as well or are you doing it the Western way only?

I know Pam... it still is my first choice as well. I hope I can get something like it locally bcos I'm not really sure about the shipping charges in as far as ordering it online and getting it to South Africa. Thus far the dresses I've seen locally don't really hold a match to this one so I'm crossing my fingers that when I start looking again after baby I will find something that will catch my fancy.

oh nice to know dee well everything is cool, well gurl hes marrying a south african he has no choise but to do it the south african way soo yes we gonna do the lobola thing and hes just soo ecxited about it, will be going back home on the 23rd of this month for the lobola negotiaition but ke tshogile its very weird cos i have to be teching fh's uncles the whole cultural staff bo dipula molomo ans staff its quiet a challenge but theyr soo ecxited about the whole experience !will sure let u know how it went when we get back .

Rhony I wished I had this when planning my wedding too.
Dayvine you're a girl after my own heart. With the exception of the mocha, my colors were just like yours. I really really love the aisle decorations. Makes you feel like an indoor garden which is the look I was going for. I had a similar limo (Ford Excursion) and my table linens were all cream with tall orange and green centerpeices but I added punches of red to my flowers for added pop. Oh yeah and my men wore cream. With so many simalarites, you know I'm loving your style. The bride and groom holding the sign up is very cute. That will make a nice pic if you choose to do it.
Muskina I love the butterfly unity candle and those shoes are HOTT!! The open lilies on the second cake reminds me of butterflies as well. Have you considered doing a butterfly release after your ceremony?

GO DIVAS!!! Loving the inspiration boards, I want to comment I need to comment, but I have a stack of books i need to read for my exams this week, I promise I will devote time and energy next week otherwise I wont have a job after graduation to pay for this wedding haha

I've sort of cleaned up my first inspiration board. With a huge bridal party like mine, I will need probably 4 or 5 boards by the time I'm done with this.
Ok, quick explaination as to what I've got so far:
Row 1: My hairstyle, my wedding cake, my bridal shower cake, my choices of bouquets (I have not made up my mind yet as to which one).
Row 2: Group 1 ~ Bridesmaids gowns, Bouquet and Sandals. Group 2 ~ Bridesmaids gowns, Bouquet and sandals.
Row 3: Ladies-in-waiting gowns, Bouquet and sandals. Maid of Honor's gown, bouquet and sandals.
Row 4: Group 3 ~ Bridesmaids gown, bouquet and sandals, Chuppas, Best Man's Tuxedo - vest in Victorian Gold, Boutonniere for Best Man.
Row 5: Groomsmen groups 1, 2,and 3 Tuxedos - Group 1 Vests in Diamond Red, Group 2 in Rio Gold Vests and Group 3 in Rio Pink Vests, and Boutonniere.
Ushers Tuxedos with vests in Prime Time White and boutonnieres
DIY Guestbook
Row 6: Nice sign inviting guests to sign our guestbook, Name cards with table numbers, My menu cards, centerpiece #1, Possible centerpiece #2 (not sure) and clear glass plates for tables.
So what do you think Divas? Even though I'm not done yet!!!

Nice Ginoue. You and I have a few items in common. I'll have a variation of that bridal hairstyle, the chuppah will be similar (but with pink chiffon draping), the pink rose boutonniere, and the clear chargers. Great minds think alike ;D

Good morning Diva Dreamgurl!!!
You know Sunday is the only day I have to relax, most of the time, so I was looking at your mosaic much closely and let me tell you sister. I am so loving all of it. Here is my vote on what you have posted on your mosaic.
I think that you'd look absolutely Fabu in either Row 1 square 3 or row 2 square 3. For hairstyle, I'm loving row 2 square 4. For Cake ~ Row 1 square 5. For Bouquet, row 2 square 5.
One thing though to think about your choice of shoes are absolutely gorgeous, however, unpractical unless you're changing into slippers later. Remember that you'll be spending 6 - 8 hours on your feet, walking, dancing, talking etc.... Think about it Diva.
For Bridesmaid dresses, my vote is for row 4 square 5 and row 5 square 4.
Flowergirls would look absolutely dreamy at row 3, square 2.
And you wouldn't believe how easy it is to DIY centerpiece row 2 square 1.
Well, that was my 2 cents worth based on the mosaic that you displayed so far. Great start Diva. I'm so very proud of you. I feel a part of this, even though, I'm not in England planning it. Although, I'll be in England in 3 years for a family reunion. We try to pick European locations when we have our reunions because so many of my family live in Europe.

Wedding gown ~ gorgeous at row 2,square 3
Floor length veil ~ row 2, square 5
Hairstyle ~ I see you in row 1, square 2. It would be a perfect choice for your floor length veil.
The little baskets full of rose petals are truly ingenious.
Perfect signature drinks at row 3, square1
Is that the invitations at row 3, square 3? If so, I thik it's absolutely divine!!!
Cake ~ by your choice of colors, I think row 3, square 2 is wonderful.
Bridesmaid's dresses, I'm loving row 2, square 4, however, I'd like to see the colors matching the ribbons on row 3, square 3. I'm also loving row 4, square 4, if you're thinking of a perfect mix or a dress for your MOH.
Shoes on row 5, square 3 ~ Perfect!!!
