You have some nices choices. You've even given me a couple of ideas. Here is a list of my ceremony songs (I haven't made it to the reception songs yet):
*Pastor, FH, BM Entrance/Seating of Special Guests/Lightning of the Candle by Mothers(only a unity candle & memory candle - outdoor wedding)- ORDER MY STEPS by Women of Praise and Worship
*Bridal Party Entrance - Greatest Gift by Tamika Scott (Beautiful Song, listen to it and tell me what you think).
*Flower Girl/Dance Ministry - Instrumentals
*My Entrance - When I First Saw You by Jamie Foxx
*Lightning of the Unity Candle - Flesh of My Flesh by Leon Patillo
*Recessional - I Believe in You and Me by Whitney Houston

Tell me what you think.

OMG Teresa, such wonderful selections!!! You and your FH's day will be truly romantic!!!

You and I have chosen the same song for our Parents'entrance song. I've also chosen Center Of my Joy by Ruben Studdard!!! How cool is that!!!

You have a big wedding party though, do you think that's enough songs for their entrance? Did you try timing the song and walk the length of your church as you'd want your bridal party to enter? That's a great tip in determining how many songs you'd need. I think for your bridal party, you'd probably need 2 or 3 songs, but it all depends on the length of the walk and how fast or slow they'll be walking down the aisle. I'll keep the selections that you have in mind and see if I can make some more suggestions that will match. You're so on the ball Diva!!!

We're still working on our list (huge bridal party remember) and FH and I can't seem to come to terms with the ones we're lacking.

Welcome to the sisterhood truluv0506, you've made some great selections yourself. How are the wedding plans coming along? Are you getting married May 6th of this year? Dish sister, we're looking for details (hahaha). But seriously, what have you done so far and what have you left to do?

Woooowww!! You ladies have picked some wonderful songs! I am using a couple of those songs myself, here are mine:

Wedding ceremony
Lord's Prayer-solo
Lighting of candles: Instrumental of Ribbon in the sky
Seating of parents: Never would've made it by Marvin Sapp
Entrance of groom: Love by Kirk Franklin
Bridal party: same song
Bride entrance:I believe in you and me by Whitney Houston
Unity candle: Beautiful surprise by India Arie
Recessional: You ain't seen nothing yet by Donald Lawrence(I think)

I know for a fact that I was introducing my bridal party with TI's "Bring Em Out". That was the one of the best songs to get the party started with.

Teresa1167, I think After all is said and done is a BEAUTIFUL song choice and I might try put that one somewhere in the reception. (LOL!)

Sisters...my wedding date is May 26, 2008 which also happens to be the Monday Memorial Day is observed. I still have alot to do. I still need to get my favors in place, my cake ordered and my dress is currently being altered because since the original fitting, I've found out I pregnant. As I said earlier, I haven't even given the Reception songs any thought up until yesterday. So now, I need a song for the Entrance of the Wedding Party, a song for the Entrance of the Bride/Groom and the Bouquet Toss. Now that's the details, so girls I need your desperately.

Wow, you only have less than a month to go and still so much left undone. How many guests are you expecting? How about telling us what you have so far for the ceremony so that we don't duplicate ourselves in trying to help with songs?

I thought I would just share the song I used in replace of the traditional wedding march. Joe Satriani(not sure on the spelling), Always with you, Always with me. It's a beautiful instrumental.
Linda ... bridal shower favors
