Your pics are beautiful!! I loved everything, your colors, the dresses, everything! BTW, your husband is a fool!!(LOL!) But its good to be able to laugh and have a good time during such a wonderful occasion. People forget that it is a celebration; not to lose the seriousness, but we have to have fun too. Mrsdhudson, the best part of it was that it was not all serious. we had a great time "acting a fool" LOL. We wanted to stay away from "tradition" for the most part, except the broom and unity candle.
Loving your pics Shy!! I could tell from the beginning to the end how you CAME OUT!! LOL at first before the ceremony you were so shy and timid (although very beautiful) but by the reception-girl you looked like you were in a Michael Jackson video! LMAO!!!!!!!! alcohol is a terrible thing....

Nice pics Shy. You're little girl is too much. I love her facial expressions and the pic of you heping her down the steps on the way to limo is adorable. I couldn't tell from pics but did you have two officiants? I couldn't tell if the lady or man behind podium was officiating.

Yes, we had 2 officiants, the man was his Pastor and the woman was DH's mother. That was what we worked out since the Pastor told her that she couldnt do the whole ceremony alone. So she got to say some parts and he said all the things that made it legal. lol
Mrs Shy your pics were fab u guys look like u were having a ball and who is the little fella with the dreads in the suit he is too cute he is gonna be a little heartbreaker and your baby girl looks just like you how adorable is she everything looks wonderful good luck and be good to yuorself and each other. was your reception in linden my hubby and i went to see a banquet hall there i thought it had promise but dh said no way i think it was t and l catering across the street from the mexican grill i think

Oh wow Mrs. Jones, your day was absolutely magnificent. I loved everything and I like the way the pictures made you feel like you were there, a part of it all.

The one with the dreds is my little cousin, the bridesmaid with the curly dreds is his mom, she was also my soloist.
We held it at the Knights of Columbus in Iselin, I checked into having it at T&L because my friend worked there a while back. T&L's place is very nice... The knights of Columbus was very inexpensive to have it there and very nice all around, we had to do a little decorating of the bathroom though, since it looked so plain

I cannot stop looking at the pictures, we have the best time ever. I love my photographers, if we weren't paying them, I would not have even known they were there. lol. I am definitely keeping their number and they were a decent price too. They enjoyed themselves too, my cousin took pictures of them. lol.
it looks huge good job t&l hubby didnt like the fact tha it was connected to the rescue squad building but it was very nice to me and he cried about the 5gs we would have paid plus alcohol men are so clueless sometimes lol now we rented the commonwealth club in upper montclair for 1800. but i love the fact that we have it from 8am to midnight. was the food included in your package i found that so vfws andelks lodges now offer catering now and are really reasonable

LOL, they did offer catering but we chose not to use them, DH wanted to be sure we had some type of soul food cooking instead of "that" type of catered taste, as he would say. We had it catered by Kings Restaurant in Newark for $1100, the place for 7 hrs with BWS for 4hrs came to around $1650, that included table cloth and napkins...
DH wanted complete open bar so bad but when he heard the price, he almost passed out. the guy gave us a deal with BWS package that is why it was cheaper.
Shy everything was beautiful. But did anyone else notice how hard Shy worked her DH's hat. I loved all of those shots. You made a beautiful bride. I wish you all many blessings in the years to come.

Yeah, I know. That was one of my favorite pictures. That one and the way her DH was hamming it up half way down the aisle. He knew the look was slammin' (hahaha)
shy is that the hala place on lyons ave? we went with the chateau of spains on newark for 170 people 2225. and our hall provides us with the table ,chairs,a full bar we'll be filling ourselves renting linen and chair covers and china thank god it needs no dec they have beautiful chands and wall scones he thought we'd save more money but it cost way more to do it at the current place but if he likes it i love it wit till the final bill lol
Yes, that is the place we used. I love them, we used to eat there every weekend. They were so nice and the food was great...although I still wish we could of had Blackberry's in Plainfield but they were very expensive for the small menu we had...
