Hello Ladies!!!
I know you are wondering what i am doing on the computer instead of honeymooning with my new hubby. What happened was, a new job came thru for him and it was mandatory that he be there today-wednesday, no complaints, we really need this in our life. It's a blessing to start our new life with him going into a job.
but let's get on with the details...
Wednesday-MIL was not here, I asked DH what was going on and where was she, he didnt know when she was coming, she told him she was having problems with her landlord. Later on in the day, he said she was not going to make it up here until Saturday. I was on fire then! she ended up getting here friday morning, at that time i was ok but she did not come to rehearsal, I dont know where she went but that pissed me off! So because of her not coming to rehearsal, I couldn't make the collage that i so much wanted to have. :-(
Thursday- got my nails and feet done, finished the programs and went to bed early.
Friday- went to the spa and got a body wrap. so relaxing and refreshing. it was a seaweed wrap, it burned off 453 calories. i told them i would definitely be back for another.
I picked up my gown and SIL's dress
then got ready for rehearsal. Dh made a mistake and took my car keys, so i ended up being late to rehearsal because i had to put the kids in my friend's car and ride with them. Rehearsal went smoothly and very quickly. we set the place up so nicely, the guy that runs the place, never seen it set up that way before. he was like wow. i was happy i didnt get the chair covers cause of the color scheme and plus my car died on me during the week,so that's where some of the cc money went. Everyone came to my mom's house for dinner and we enjoyed it. they all left by 11, but i ended up staying up until about 3.
Saturday- got up for hair appt at 7:20am, got out of there by 11.
the limo went to pick up the guys at 2, he was an hour early so he had to wait, i told his boss that but they didnt listen to me. then when i booked the limo i told him that I would have the balance with me (2nd stop), because they forgot, he thought i was trying to scam him, so during that early hour he came to my stop to get the $$ then went back to get the guys.
The limo pulled up for us, we are on our way to the place, my phone starts ringing off the hook. Dh called to make sure we had the license, and guest what we forgot it. Then someone else called cause the food wasnt there yet, I had already known about that before they told me cause I made the call. then the champaign was not there either, so my cousin paid the guy to give us some from his supply.
my mom went back to the house to get the license, which only took about 10 minutes so we were right on time even still. when she came back the pastor wanted to review the license first, and dont you know that caused us to start an hour late. i was so impatient and upset because we didnt even see my mom and his mom sign it. it was like it was a secret. And MIL helped with the ceremony, they wanted it to be so traditional by having DH walk in with Pastor but he said no.
Ceremony went nicely...

Everyone had a great time. FH and I enjoyed every moment, it was more than worth it.DH was loving it all night.We partied the night away.
After the night was over we went to a suite given by his dad and stepmom. they gave us a little talk, that we both really appreciated.
WOW Shy!!!!!!! your pics are beautiful and your DH was shhhhhaaaarrrppppp! LOL
In spite of all of the mishaps, you still had a beautiful wedding and that is all that counts! :) DH and I finally got our Wedding video and watched it for the first time last night-and by looking back at all of the drama it meant absolutely NOTHING!!! the important thing is YOU are now ONE-and no matter what anyone says or does it is a wrap!! :)

Soon, you are absolutely right about seeing it in video/pictures, i could care less about the drama.
I forgot another part to the story. since the reception ended early my cousin took my out of town cousins to the club, someone broke in her car and stole her dress and shoes
Shy you made a beautiful bride and DH, I loving his entrance, lol.
I'm sure you really wanted the chair covers for an added touch but the chairs are pretty nice without them and coordinated well with everything. That's a blessing especially since you ended up needed it for car repair. God had it all worked out.
Sidenote: How trifling can someone be to steal a dress and shoes. I know we are in a recession and all but come on. That's crazy!!

Congratulations Shy!!! Everything was beautiful! I love your colors and you were a gorgeous bride. In spite of the few problems, GOD is able and he will continue to bless your family and give you favor!!
thanks ladies. It was all wonderful, DH is still talking about his entrance and he wants all the tapes and pictures that have that. And i also failed to mention, that my mom did a great job, she made her dress and both of the flower girls' dresses. she actually made herself 2 dresses cause she wasnt sure about the first. She is back into sewing, she stopped when my brother was born.
I am glad it was all worth it Mrs Jones... was your dress a champagne colour- it really suited your complexion. Who walked you down the aisle, I can so see my sister wearing something like that on my day. The bridemaids dresses were also nice.... Congrats also on the hubby and the new job, its God's wedding present to you two!! Hallelujah..amen HE ALWAYS COMES THROUGH
Well done Shy... everything looked great... BTW did the ceremony and reception took place in the same venue? How did that work out? Did you have snacks put out for the guests during the ceremony and while you were taking pics before the reception?
Yes my dress was champagne color, it was so hard to find stuff to match in the stores around here, like the flower girls dresses and some of the decor we were using for some things.
That was my mom and my stepdad that walked me down the aisle

the ceremony and reception took place in the same venue same room. it worked out great. My mom and my stepdad got married the same way. It was a lot cheaper that way...I didnt want to deal with the travel in between the ceremony and reception.
The guests had snacks while we took pictures, wing flings and pasta salad and drinks.
Me and you are the only ones that say that. Everyone says that my son is a splitting image of him and she is of me... but i tell him that she looks like him.

You all are looking good. Your new DH is a trip, he was sharp! I am definitely feeling those colors! Your dress was soooo beautiful, and I cannot WAIT for more pics:)
Your MOM!!!! She look so so so so so so young!! I have sisters who look older than your mom, tell her she is fine as hell, she does NOT look like a Grandmother... I wish i had those genes..
I LOVE the new picture- you two are cute... and you know what you do look Shy in a sweet innocent way in all the pics... I cant even fake that lol
I know I'm late but congrats. I can't see the pics here at work, but I will look when I get home. I'm happy that your day turned out wonderful for you. :-)
