Hey ladies!! I had been meaning to update you on my BIG day last week, but unfortunately I came down with the flu during the week of the wedding, and it remained with me until last Thursday or so. So many of us had it while in Pittsburgh, and that thing was no joke:( Luckily it didn't put a damper on my special day, just kept me up all night coughing the night before, and the night of my wedding:( My DH even caught it when we returned to ATL, and missed 4 days of work. Now for the details...
Bachelorette party:
Let me just say, my sister really knows how to throw a party!! I had a great time seeing all of my friends and cousins, and of course the entertainment for the evening...lol!! We all were gone after downing shot after shot, but that didn't stop our evening. We partied the night away and had a fantastic time:) My sister had t-shirts made for myself and my bridesmaids that said Tiffany's Bachelorette Party, with each of our names written on the back of each. So of course when we went out everyone was offering their congratulations to me!!
Rehearsal/rehearsal dinner:
Not much to report here. We started about 15 minutes late, but the overall rehearsal went just fine. Everyone cooperated and listened to the planner, so we went through everything and finished in about a half hour. The dinner was lots of fun. Everyone loved their gifts. My DH bought engraved card holders and money clips for his fellas, and I bought engraved pink clock/jewelry cases for my girls. They are kind of hard to explain but they are really cute, and the girls loved them! The food was fantastic and it was nice spending time with family and friends. My set curfew that night was 12, because I had to be up at 6am for my hair appt, so we just hung out the hotel visiting family and friends. But with all of my coughing and carrying on, I probably only slept for 2-3 hours:( The guys partied the night away and stayed out until about 5:30am!
Wedding Day:
Believe it or not, the day was as close to perfect as it could have possibly been (with the exception of my flu). We started right at 4:30pm as planned, and everything went smoothly. It seems like most of my drama occurred weeks before the wedding (my soloist bailed on me, some of my close family members became ill and couldn't attend the wedding). I made a cd after my soloist decided he didn't have enough money to fly to Pittsburgh to sing for my wedding, and the sound man played everything right on cue. The lighting of the memorial candle in honor of my mother was very touching for those who witnessed it. After my aunt (my mom's only sister) lit the candle, she placed a red rose in the seat where my mom would have sat. This is something that I was not able to see, so I will have to wait until the video arrives to see this part of the ceremony. Everyone absolutely loved the Rose ceremony! This was mostly everyone's first time seeing it (including mine and my DH's) and I must admit it was a beautiful portion of the ceremony. If any of you are considering doing this, you should definitely go for it!!
Reception:
We had such a great time! My DH kept saying he didn't think he would have fun at the wedding/reception, but after everything was over, he said the day was great! We were announced as Mr and Mrs Turner while "Night to Remember" was playing, and it was such a memorable and exciting moment. We cut the cut while the song was playing also! The candy buffet was a huge success as well. I have a few pics that my cousins and friends took while at the wedding, so I will post those until we get our professional pics back! Because of school, extreme temperature, and finances, our Dubai/Egypt honeymoon will not be taking place until October!!
Congratulations Mrs Turner!!!! It sounds like another perfect day, I am glad that all the work you put into it culminated in a 'night to remember' cant wait to see the pictures (and yeah flu...poor thing it has perfect timing as well but we divas wont ever let it steal our joy)
Congrats Tiffyb... glad to hear everything went well with the exception of the flu. Im sure you were a diva flu and all. Cant wait to see your pictures.
Congratulations sugar. I am so glad to hear that you did not let your illness ruin you special day. I am also pleased to hear that your day and the events leading up to it was a blast. Can't wait to see your pics.

Congrats TiffyB - liking the idea of dancing in to "Night to Remember" - I was going to do the same thing! Seems like you had a wonderful time - hope you're enjoying married life as much as I think you are!
Thanks ladies! Married life is so wonderful! I am enjoying every minute of being a wife! I am now Tiffyt rather than Tiffyb...LOL!!

Wow TiffyT!!!!!!!!! your pics are beautiful and you looked soooo happy at ALL of the events! your wedding day pics are the BOMB and that "entertainer" at your bachelorette party....oh, I forgot I just got married so I better keep my thoughts to myself!!!!!!!! LOL
I had to keep "the entertainter" pics clean, because believe me, some of the pics my girls sent me were much more revealing than what I posted on my website...lol!! Thanks Mrs. J, I was very happy leading up to and on my wedding day, and I'm still smiling:) Can't wait to see your pics!
Welcome back TiffyT --- sorry about the flu but I'm glad to hear that all went well and that it didn't dampen your moods. You really looked luvly and I loved your hair. For some reason I couldn't see all your pics but will try to check them out later when I get home. All the best to you and hubby and may you see many more.
Well Tiffy I must say you did not look sick at all. But then again true divas can pull it off thru anything, and you were a true diva on your day... love your pics.

Love the pics. You really did work that gown nicely..You two look so happy and everyone looks like they enjoyed the night. I dont see anyone that was sick in those pics!
