THE DAY BEFORE:
Everyone got to town safely and everything was great at the Rehearsal even though it got started about 45 min. late. We had to rush to the restaraunt since we got started late, but overall everyone had plenty to eat and drink and they loved the gifts.
After the rehearsal a few of us + some friends went back to the bar I was at the weekend before. DH & I had on our bride and groom shirts so people were buying us drinks left and right!! Needless to say, I only had 1 strawberry margarita and all of the other drinks that I received our group took care of disposing of them! LOL FH says he didn't get tipsy but I beg to differ!! :)
THE DAY:
Left the bar at 2 a.m. headed back to the hotel where all of my family was staying; up at 5:45 a.m. to make my 6:30 hair appt and the phone start ringing at 7 a.m. and didn't stop until about 4:30 p.m.!! crisis after crisis...wedding was due to start at 5 at 4:45 I STILL was not even in my dress!! my cousin couldn't find her shoes, my sister couldn't find her bra, my FG had no panties (her mom left them at the hotel after getting her out of the bath and putting on her little sun dress she "forgot"???)fast forward to 5:20 and the wedding starts without my veil that I forgot...the music was ALL wrong and I couldn't figure out why!!! after a remix of every d**n song on the cd, my mother/his sister finally got down the isle to light the candles and DH & his party finally did also; my son did not have his broom when walking in-they couldn't FIND it! after another d**n remix our minister of music FINALLY just sang Never Would Have Made It so FG & I could get down the isle! after that everything was smooth sailing. Everyone loved the tribute we did to his mother and my son and the Blended ceremony! DH was having trouble getting the medallion necklace fastened on my son and I tried to help and he kept refusing! (everyone got a chuckle out of that) finally we are pronounced husband and wife and wedding ends!
p.s. found out the sound guy that was suppose to do my music went to jail Sat. morning for outstanding tickets so that is why the music was sooo messed up! noone wanted to tell me before the wedding as to not UPSET me (???)like I wasn't upset enough hearing the remix!! I know if he would have been there that the music would have been right on point!!!
THE RECEPTION:
THIS was the highlight of the evening! all of the party was introduced off of Whodini's "Friends" and everyone walked in doing a dance (except my mom :) So now it is our turn! DH & I enter to Ain't No Stopping Us Now and when they announced Mr. & Mr. Stephen Johnson DH lost his mind! we danced down the isle but then he danced up and down it again! at this point everyone is chanting-Go Stephen, Go Stephen, Go Stephen because they are in shock because this is a side of DH people have NEVER saw! they are use to the poised, serious Stephen so they were really suprised to see this "dancing machine" LOL DH says he was happy that things were over and that is why he is dancing so hard, but I think it was because he heard Mr. & Mrs. :)
THE HONEYMOON:
Dh & I finally get in bed at 2:30 Sun. morning after taking his friend and nephew on opposite sides of Dallas. Our taxi came at 4 a.m. and we were off to Jamaica where we had a blast-ending our honeymoon by arriving back at home at 2 a.m. Fri. morning!!
CONGRATULATIONS !!! Sorry to hear about all the mishaps but it helped make your day all the more memorable. Did you get good footage of DH getting his dance on after the announcement? Did you manage to stay composed walking down the aisle? Can't wait to see the pics.

Wow, "happy2bmsj"! It sounds like you guys made up for any stress at the ceremony with a bangin party at the reception. Congratulations girl!! Picture, pictures, pictures!

Welcome back Mrs J. I'm so very sorry that things didn't start out the way that you planned or imagined, but oh I love the story of the reception and how your DH was dancing up a storm. I agree with you though, I think that it was the sound of finally hearing MR & MRS that got him dancing. I'm so very happy for you both!!!
Welcome back! Congratulations! It sounds like you had a great time. I'm so happy for you! Don't feel bad about not having your veil. DH left mine in our truck and I didn't have enough time to go to Michael's to buy another (which was 1/2 mile from the chapel). I can't wait to see your pics!

I am so sorry to hear about the music.It happen to me at my first wedding but my aunt took the cd on purpose and played what she wanted to play to be spiteful.I just said DEVIL u are not gonna stop me and walked down the isle with the biggest kool aid smile!!! So otherwise it sounded like u guys had a real good time.Enjoy each other that is all that matters !!!
Welcome back Mrs. J after the mishaps, glad to hear everything went well. LOL I think FH was dancing for both he was probably like "YES" we are finally mr and mrs, and also "YES" I got my woman back all too myself, NO MORE WEDDING PLANNING. Congrats MrsJ
To put in mildly she is a HATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!She is my father's sister and she is younger than me and her wedding was before mines and she didn't have the resources to have a nice wedding.But u know what I don't fault her to this day because maybe god was trying to tell me something (COLOR PURPLE LOL !!!).
Congratulations Mrs J!! Glad to hear everything turned out well for you in the end. The music drama may have been a little frustrating in the beginning, but your overall mission of becoming MRS J was accomplished so that's all that really matters in the end:) Congrats again and I can't wait to see the pictures!

Thanks again ladies...I am lovin' every minute of marriage!!! Oh, I forgot one little tad bit of info...Thurs. (2 days before the wedding) DH bought him a NEW car!!! so I lost that battle!! :( but he is soooooo happy! maybe that is why he was dancing so hard at the reception!! LOL

Haha that is sooo funny!!! LMFAO- go figure, he did it when you didnt have an ounce of resistance left in you because of butterflies, nerves anxiety etc. You have to give it to him, you have definately met your match!!

Very nice pictures Mrs J!! Can't wait to see more pictures of you in your beautiful gown:) Your "mingle while single" night looked like lots of fun!! Can you believe it's all over for us, the planning and everything that is? It seems like time just went so fast!!
MrsJ - I love your colours. And your cakes came out so well. You and hubby were so beautiful, not to say anything about your prince charming. He looks like he's really gonna be a ladies magnet so watch out.
Sorry to hear about the mishaps at the ceremony - but thats all they were. Little mishaps which couldn't stop or dampen what God had already ordained. With that I wish you and hubby all the best and May God grant you all your wishes and more in years to come.
Soon, you look so beautiful. Love the cakes and I can tell by the fullness of some of those candy bags that the candy station was a hit. Noticed church has two aisles, did you have ladies walk one aisle, men the other or did they walk together down one aisle?

Thanks ladies for all of your congrats and sentiments. I am still on a high!! Even though the music was messed up, I have had many people call or email me and tell me how beautiful and nice the wedding and reception was in spite of so that has made me feel a little better!
