Well ladies is getting extremely close now and I am so ready. Plans are going smoothly, with a little turbelance (his mom) here and there but no big deal, I will not let her get to me. Anyway...
So far, I have completed

Me-Gown is being altered. Fitting this Friday and last one on April 2nd.
Shoes dyed and picked up-champagne Jewelry has been bought Our rings are being sized
My mom is making my veil, her dress and my two flowergirls' dresses which are all just about done, Flower girls fittings Wednesday 3/12.
My hair will be like something of this sort. My girls-all of them are complete except 1(FH's sister), she will have her dress altered Saturday morning. Since she lives out of state, i had to buy her dress but she's young and her weight fluctuates, I bought a safe size but ended up being a little big.
I bought their jewelry and gifts, (sorry no pics of them)
My older flower girl, we having the hardest time finding her shoes to match the dress. I was able to get my daughter's just by turning my head and grabbing the last pair in the store but i cant find a bigger size anywhere. I need them in cream or champagne, you know every company has a different for a color.
FH-All the guys better be complete by this weekend or they just wont be in it. they have been messing around for too long and we have let them know that they dont have to be in the wedding if they dont get things in order. Only 3 of the guys are done, my stepfather, my brother-the ringbearer and my son. So FH has not bought the gifts for them yet.
All balances for the vendors are being paid saturday cant wait to get that over, so I dont have to fight myself to hold that money. lol
Marriage license- Monday Morning
Meeting with the Pastor Sunday to go over everything one last time
Meeting with the DJ to finalize
3/10 started making the phone calls to the people that did not respond.
I will be making the bouquets and boutonierres this weekend, not much of a project.
The favors are just about done, one of my friends that was not able to be in the wedding put them together for me. The centerpiece brainstorm is complete.
Program format is layed out and ready to be printed
Cake bought by my mom
My stepfather surprised with me a limo for the day. we didnt plan to get one because the place is so close to my mom's house, where we are getting ready, so we saw no point in getting one for 3 hours when it takes 5-10 minutes to get there. but hey I can't complain.

i am doing well, everything is in order. my mother and my Matron of Honor have been a extremely big help, even though my MOH is getting married Saturday. we did not plan for it to be that way. but without them i would have lost it a long while back.

Shy I love the hairstyle you chose. Sound like you have a handle on things. My flowergirl dress was champagne and we found shoes for her around this time last year at WalMart for $9.99. Also try Payless. They normally have shoes for kids in hard to find colors.

Hi Shy- you are really organised!! And I love the hairstyle it reminds me of one of my clippings from Essence (you have good taste). I cant wait to see your gown. Yeah and dont let anyone get to you- seriously I know its harder than it seems- but its all about you right now, and planning is half the fun

Thanks about the hairstyle, I wanted something simple since my dress has a lot going on
yes, that is where I found my daughter's shoes, at Walmart, but they didnt have the older flower girl's size. then, it just so happened this friday, my mother was in payless and found the matching shoes for the older flower girl. I was so happy.

Hey ladies. Well we had a great time at the club, it turned out that was the bachelorette party friday night instead of being saturday after the bridal shower. I was truly surprised. No strippers though, crazy story with that. here are some pics.

Me and my mother

My mom and her sister
My Matron of Honor
Bridesmaid-Friend from Childhood
My cousin-Another bridemaid
Another Bridesmaid

2 of my bridesmaids weren't there because they are under 21-my lil cousin and FH's sister.

I also ended up bumping into someone else that was getting married Saturday April 5th.

Now here's some pics from the bridal shower.Since my initials will be TMJ, my MOH came to find out that also stands for some kind of problem with your mouth, I dont know how to pronounce the words but it has to do with grinding your teeth. One of the bridesmaids is in the dental industry and can tell you all about it but i cant. lol. so the pics with the cupcakes being smashed in my face are because they are giving me TMJ, lol.

The TMJ cakes
My daughter
An Overnight Kit for the night of the wedding, from his stepmom-liquor, female contraceptives, toothbrushes/paste and a hotel suite

hot mama
my mom wanted to look like she was interacting in the party, she is usually the one behind the camera. not this time

My favorite set
My son w/o a haircut

this is the TMJ

My brother steeling icing, yes big age difference, he is 9

They also did a segment where everyone had to say what the like, love and admire about me, some made me cry, it was so nice...
That is all for now, until 6 days from now.

Yes, 5 days...

I ran around all day yesterday and have to do some today, and my mom is running around too. Me and FH said we should have taken 2 weeks off instead of 1. Taking the kids with me is the tiring part, most of the running I do alone but with them, oh boy! :-)

i am very excited, although something did bring me down. The chair covers company called me to let me know they were going to ship my order this past friday but at the time of the call, the guy tells me that they dont have the color I asked for! he tells me the closest thing he has is periwinkle but there periwinkle looks like Lilac. I was so upset, so now I dont have any chair covers and sashes. I did got over it pretty quickly, since the carpet and the chairs are already blue, so i accepted cause i got tired of looking all over again.

Other than that. I am ready and everything is going smoothly. FMIL finally got her dress, she had it ordered, so i am waiting for it to get here. the bridal party's gifts are here. Instead of having had engagement photos taken, I am making a collage of us from childhood to our years together.

Well Shy, it's good that the hall has blue carpet and chairs, so I'm sure they will compliment everything quite nicely. Chair covers or not, everything will look just beautiful:) And the collage idea is a very good one, very creative! Looking forward to seeing it. Sounds like you are all set and ready for your BIG day. Make sure you find some time to relax, and be sure to get plenty of rest leading up to your special day, something I didn't find time to do:(

Shy, although you would've loved to have the chair covers and sashes, It's not such a big deal because the chairs and the carpet is superb. See how things work out and you inadvertedly saved some money (from the chair covers and sashes, I mean.)

Maybe you could use that unexpected windfall to treat yourself to a day at the spa, the day before your wedding.

Girl, you read my mind, I just booked an appt for Friday morning for the spa. I am going to get a body wrap and massage. :-)
The kids will be dropped off at school bright and early, then I will be on my way!!!
