I think Ivy was planning on having a Candy station. I think that this would be of interest to her. OMG, but they all look so very sinful!!!

Yes I am thinking about this. I'm having my wedding planner look into it to see if I can fit this in the budget.

You can purchase the candy anywhere that sells in bulk such as candydirect.com or if you have a BJ's wholesale in your area. The container can any glass jar or dish. You can probably find scoopers at a coffee shop, or in kitchenware sections of department stores.

I'm having an old school candy buffet at our reception: Lemonheads, Nut Chews, Long Boys, Boston Baked Bean, Jolly Ranchers, Mary Janes, Red Hots, Sour Cherries, Slo-Pokes, etc. Can't wait!

I love the old school candy theme...I think one of the pics I posted has those candy straws with the powdered candy in it and the old school smarties....also you can pretty much get rock candy in any color too....rock candy is definitely old school!

I am doing one but no pics yet...I am pretty much on the same level as Future-I am going "old skool"; I am getting my candy from:
orientaltrading.com
blaircandy.com
groovycandy.com
I am using the "penny candy" bags from back in the day with a personalized sticker that says "Sweet Love" Michelle & Stephen

Sime people do their wedding colors but I'm doing an old school buffet so mine will be various colors. I'm also including old Chicago favorites like lunchroom butter cookies, chocolate chip cookies (Matts), chips (Vitners) and popcorn (Garretts).
