Although you may have made your decision, I just thought of something else, perhaps someone else could use this idea.

Herbal tea bags in tulle or organza with a special note from you and your hubby. We actually used teabags as one of the favors when I got married. Just a thought :-)

Girl, I'm broke too and my wedding is 3 months away! LOL but congratultaions on your shower T!!!!!!! I like the candy idea which will be quick and simple-go to store, by candy, wrap in tulle with ribbon and if you don't have time to do the personalize tags to attach go to Michaels/Hobby Lobby and pick up the tags that have the gold imprint that say 'Thank You'

T. I love the kisses Idea and it's christmas, you will find a bag at any pharmacy or grocery store with the red ones in them. You have a printer at home. Get cracking Diva ~ yes, another short DIY project. This is the kind of project that won't even cost you $20. Get FH and the Kids envolved. Stop at the .99c store, you'll be surprised, you'll find ribbons, tulling, hell, you may even find the Hersheys kisses there. You cut the tulling, your kids pass the kisses to your FH and he'll tie and place them in a cute basket. Done in less than half an hour.

Tee, normally whoever hosts the shower in your honor plans the favors as well. Are you sure they aren't doing something already?

Girl ...I'm so SURE like you would never believe ..they are JUST putting it together this week ..and I could take blame as I did say I didn't want them to plan one bc of the stress of planning the others this year ...I didn't want anybody going through that for me ...I want everyone happy ...So way ahead of time I told them NO-but I think they feel it's only customary to do so since the other girls had one (nice ones)...but scale it down to breakfast (since we all gotta eat right)...at the same time I think it's only customary to give a small favor :)

Pamcrow-trust this aint really a shower...more of a breakfast in my honor (is what I was told) ...arrrgggggg :)

Just thought of another thing Tee as Pamcrow speaks of the favors and girl, yes, it's your hostess that covers your bridal favors.

since you're down to 15 days, have you purchased your attendants' gifts yet? How about your gift for your FH? I was reviewing your Blog, and you didn't mention it and my nosey self just had to know. Now dish!!!

DIY-My attendants gifts ...Something similar to the Tribute I made for FH's dad ...it's a 5 by 7 pic frame that has a pic of us washed out in the background and a personalized note Thank You to each individually ...so everybody's frame reads something different, bc it's geared to them and their role to us.

As far as a gift for FH-He will be getting ME as his gift! :)

Depending on how many guests, I would just travel to my local dollar store for a decorative candle. They are already wrapped with a ribbon and all. Less stress.

Just checking. BTW, did you complete aisle runner? You were still working on it the last I remember. I'm curious because I want to try one for a wedding I'm doing in April but for some strange reason I'm a little nervous about trying it.

Turiya, we all knew that you were a hot mess, you've just proven it and we knew you were serious about you being your FH's gift.

Pam ~ do you have photoshop on your PC, this would help a great deal if you did. BTW, at avery.com they have a free software download for signs and banners, maybe that program will work out for your aisle runner as well. I've never undertaken such a task, but my BFF is a wonderful graphics designer and she usually do them for me, because I my gifts to all my Brides and Grooms are always personalized aisle runners.

You know what, I should be as brave as you and also give it a go, just to see if I could do it myself.

Naw-I put it off ..until this weekend ...I haven't been feeling well for the last 2 weeks ...sinuses whipping my butt (my head and ear!) ...I'm behind in school like you wouldn't believe as well as putting things together ...So I plan to be done by next wednesday ...although I don't think it will take that long ...that's my mental deadline.

I have photoshop but I've never used it before. I'll have to play around with it. I've been looking on ebay for an overhead projector so I can transfer imagine to aisle runner but I haven't bid on anything yet. Thinking of just getting one from staples. I saved the aisle runner from my wedding so I can use it as a tester but haven't been real motivated to try it yet. Maybe after the holidays.
