I'm not doing one ...but I'm listening to the radio, and Solider by Destiny's Child just came on ...and I thought that would be cute for a bouquet toss!
I'm still debating on this one...I saw an earlier post where someone didn't do the toss but gave her bouquet to woman who had been married the longest-but I know my single friends will be livid if they can't fall down all over each other to catch the bouquet! :)
Yeah we thought about that too ..but for us, we know exactly who it would go to ...my grandparents ..and we are already doing something special for them .. :)
well I thought maybe have the married couples stand based on their time of marriage-0-5, 6-10 etc.. but now that you said it, mine would definetly go to my grandmother (40+ yrs) even though my grandfather can't be there
Right and look soon2bms.j -since we know this, I was thinking why have them stand/dance that long? ...ya know .. :) It ain't no secret or comparassion so just hand it to them ...
We're having one. I'm playing "I'm Every Woman" while the toss is happening and then (stealing from Abeni) "God's Trying to Tell You Something" after its caught!

My DJ picked an upbeat song for me to toss the bouquet...it was that song where it goes "set it off on the left ya'll...set it off on the right ya'll. We did almost everything upbeat without thinking about it too much...The bridal party and us....we actually came in on Lets Get Married remix by Jagged Edge and it was a hit when the DJ introduced us! We had a blast....I say that because I agree, that "Soldier" song by DC is the right type of song to have for the bouquet toss. Just make sure you SPECIFICALLY ASK that all men and women who participate are 18 and above....my DJ forgot and my TOO-Tall 12 year old cousin caught the bouquet and I was not about to let my 23-year old guy friend from church put that thing on her leg! So just have fun! No one will remember the music from the toss...they will just remember the mayhem! Take pictures to capture the moment!
Thanks Bumblebee. I'm not a DC fan though. I wanted to use "Set It Off" later in the reception. I would love to see some of the old people do the electric slide.
