Toasting flutes
Posted on: 10/12/2007 05:46 PM
I'm just wondering what you all suggest is a reasonable price to pay for toasting flutes and knife/cake servers? I've been pricing them online lately, and the prices vary so much. I guess it depends on how fancy you want them, I'm not looking for anything too fancy, just something with engraving, and then I will add additional decorations if necessary. Just wondering if anyone has purchased these items yet, or for those who are already married, maybe you can give me some advice on these items!

Girl I got my toasting flutes of ebay for $6. Then messed around and forgot I was bidding on those and won another set for $11. I will take pics and post them this weekend but they are high priced (one Waterford and the other from Germany).

For a server set, I got my MOH's from Oriental Trading for less than $15 with engraving!

LOL...you are too funny, bidding on two sets that is!! You got both sets of flutes for really good prices though. Are you going to have them engraved? I was thinking of checking out ebay myself, and I am actually on Oriental Trading right now looking at both items. Thanks!

My mother purchased our flute glasses. I believe one of the ladies on this site had them. They are his and her glasses. My glass has a bridal veil on it and my fh glass looks like a tux.

i decorated my own flutes, i tied some gold ribbon around the bottom and found a silver charm with the letter "C" on it for our last name. it's really pretty and exactly what i want, something simple.

Some of the prices online are way tooo expensive. Oriental trading will be your best bet. The quality is acutally pretty good. I ordered them for a wedding I was in last year. The have a wedding catalog, however you will find much more online

A cousin of mine whose wedding I was in ordered hers from Oriental Trading, and then as sweetnlow did, she added some ribbon and other decorations to the bottom. It looked really nice. This is what I will probably do, seeing as Oriental Trading does seem to have the best prices I have seen so far. Thanks ladies:)

Here is the $6 Set:

Here is the $11 set:

I think we're using the 2nd set for the wedding.

We like it also but the gold rim on the other set matches the table decor we have (so far - no telling how many times that may change between no and May)!

Both sets are really pretty! I actually like the first set too. They are both unique, so which ever ones you decide to go with will be a good choice! Thanks for posting the pics FutureMrsKeepUp!

We received a really nice set from my MOH at my bridal shower. I purchased those cute tuxedo and bridal sets to decorate my glasses.

Use one for the cake table, and one to use at the reception table or sweetheart table. Then you can have them both!

Okay Future, now you KNOW that ain't fair. How you take such clear pics of the flutes but not your dress? See, see...why you gotta play?
