I can not belive this! These things do not happen for me! I am the person who, if everyone is doing something wrong, would be the one to get caught. Just plain old bad luck I guess. So you can see why I was supicious of the following situation.
I ordered my gown on August 9. It was due to come at the end of November. I received and email Saturday that said the dress would be here on Tuesday August 21. Huh? I was so worried. I couldn't even call netbride.com because I was just confused! Well my gown arrived at the job yesterday. I opened the box last night and MY GOWN IS MORE GORGEOUS THAN THE SAMPLE I TRIED ON! Original manufacturer tags and all. I am SO EXCITED!
Come to find out the designer had a production run on July 13. They cut an extra dress in an unordered size by mistake. Well the unordered size for that bride was the right size for me - Resulting in me getting that gown when my order came in! A big check on my to do list!
I'm going to my MatronOH house tonight to try on the dress and take a few pictures. I'll be storing it there until then (closer than my mother's house for those random try-ons)! My tailor will meet me there so we'll have and idea of what if anything will need to be altered and to plan the bustle. I'll post the pics ASAP! What a blessing!
Ok ladies, I am NOT being shady. I was unable to get to my MOH's house to try on the dress due to the storms here in the midwest. Well, I went this evening and...MY GOWN IS TOO SMALL! At least 2 sizes! I am so devastated. I went off the largest measurement and everything. The sample I tried on was big on me so I went down from there. I think I should have went with that size though! I emailed the bridal shop to have them call me tomorrow. I know their policy is not to take gowns back due to size errors on the customer's part but I am praying and believing God that they will make an exception. Please put up a small prayer for me ladies!
Ok, I returned the gown to netbride and the gown WAS cut incorrectly. It was cut small but they didn't say how small. Another gown was ordered and it will be in Monday. Prayers sent up, breath held, fingers and toes crossed!
As a side note, netbride's customer service has been great. They have shipped both dresses extremely quick! The original dress was supposed to come in at the end of November. I'm on my 2nd dress the middle of October! Not to mention the price quote was $500 less than the bridal shops and $200 less than a consignment shop. I would encourage you ladies to get a price quote from them for your gowns. Just be sure to order the correct size!
I'll post a link to the pics when I take some so I can delete them later. FH is getting a bit more computer savvy. He calls you sisters my boyfriend and I think he tries to check up on the sites I visit!

Ok the dress came in. I tried it on. It fits perfectly ('cept 1/2 inch at the bust needs to be taken in). But...I LEFT MY CAMERA AT HOME! I did take some pics with my camera phone so I'll download them as soon as I get my cable from my brother.
Oh my you are a dream KeepUp that is a princess dress- we do need a better shot though- I must say you have a great figure, have you been working out for the big day??
Thanks Dreamgurl! As far as working out, actually I didn't. I'm one of those types - eat everything and don't gain a pound! I actually went on a weight gain program for the dress. I'm at my desired weight now, just need to work a little more on the midsection.
Working on it now. I have two other pics downloaded but can't access photobucket from work.
Oh KeepUp its women like you who make me angry- i am giving up sugar this month in my bid to lose my unacceptable little tummy!! I wish I could eat everything- I hardly eat a thing and i cant push this weight :(
Pamcrow the dress feels good! It'll feel even better when I get rid of a little more belly! LOL! I'm getting my underwear and veil within the next two weeks. I'm trying to see what Phenomonique has 1st. Then I'll have my 1st fitting with my tailor to come up with a preliminary plan for any alterations and a bustle. I'LL REMEMBER TO HAVE THE REAL CAMERA THEN!
Girl, what belly????????????? You look good. Nah I meant how did you feel with dress on? Did you get emotional at all, like this is all coming together now? I personally didn't feel anything until I finally tried my veil on with my dress then it was like...Woow, I'm about to get married !!!

Pamcrow I was feeling more "brideish" and my planning has been invigorated! I can't wait until I have the veil, shoes, and tiara on with it so I can really get the feeling! And trust me, I am thanking God for the piping in wedding gowns cause I DO have belly!
