Have you guys seen the wedding cakes in the photo album here? They are awesome. I haven't seen anything like that at any wedding I have gone to before. I relly want one that looks like L'essence , but my mother is having a mini stoke!

That depends on who is paying for the cake lala... If it is your mom, then you may have to put up or shut up. I would have two. a little traditional and a big funky one! What are your wedding colors? would l'essense match them? she mayu be concerned that it looks muslim... lol Who knows what is on her mind.

Ladies do not fret, you can have this cake or anycake that you so desire. Find a person that does great wedding cakes. Not a bakery the price will skyrocket. But If you can find someone who does cakes on the side, give them the picture and ask if it can be done. You may still come out cheaper than a bakery or a cake designer.
Since I posted that pic of the cake I want, my mom and I went to the baker I wanted to use and she can duplicate this cake for me in a smaller version. It costs $391, and instead of the colors in the pic, she is going to do it in white since my wedding dress will be white. My mom didn't have a problem with the price at all!
Congrats Tiffaroo. I knew you could do it. Make sure that if you have not tasted this baker's cakes before to ask for a test cake to try. Most of us do not mind giving a free cake. By the way the price is great!
My mom, fh and I got an opportunity to taste the cake the day we ordered it. It was so good that fh has been back several times to get some of her other products and cakes!
lol, it's not a secret. The name of the bakery is Angies Confections. She has a lot of customers so if you want to use her, you need to book very early. Everyone in town loves her cakes...he he. Here is the website address for the bakery.
I found the cake of my dreams but soon noticed the price tag. I asked the bakery owner could I take a picture of the cake for my wedding album. She allowed me to take the picture and I quickly took the picture to the lady that bakes cakes for my school. She's only charging $100.00. She how good God is. If anyone is in the Rocky Mount area and need a wedding cake please reply to the email.
I know how you feel because I went through that with my wedding cake. My husband did not want to spend so much for our cake either but that was the cake I wanted. My wedding cake was a seven tier cake with a fountain on the bottom. That was the thing back in the 90's due to I got married in "96". AND back then cakes was very expensive. I paid $850 for my wedding cake.
100.00 dollars? Are you familiar with her work, can you get references? It's a fantastic price (WOW), but have you tried the product before? A school cake and a wedding cake are extremely different.
