I'm racking my brain to figure out what to get my husband for his birthday. We just moved to Tampa, Fl and are still settling in so I'm feeling really out of my element. Last year i took him to a play, I'm thinking of a comedy club this year, what do u ladies think? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

i have only been in tampa 5 yrs and dont go out as much as i did when i was in st pete. if his b'day is this month, earthquake is going to be at the comedy club downtown tonite is adel givens last nite there. there are a few bed and breakfast spots. we usually just hide at a Hampton Inn. Their beds are just as firm as my own so i am comfortable there. u could always get away to the non tourist part of Orlando where the Black Elite meet. since i no longer travel that route anymore i would have to ask about what the elite are doing now lol.
i deal with it. i HATE the traffic. but my cousin lives in Orlando and the traffic there is worse. if i can get into my neighborhood, not subdivision, its fine. we live beside Busch Gardens and the traffic on Busch is a mess with people entering the park. but because it has a lot of amenities i havent left yet :)
im glad u settled on a birthday idea. that should be good. we saw him the last time he was here.
oh man, the traffic SUX!! we live off Fowler and its an event just getting in and out everyday. i think the comedy club will be perfect. have you eaten there before, is the food any good?

the food is good and when i moved to tampa by myself i lived off fowler. hated it. either thr interstate was bogged down or the trip downtown to the office via nebraska was a nightmare with those damn potholes. when trump came down to see the tower he was building he says even in the limo he felt the holes and he advised pam iorio, mayor, to have those fixed. NOT
Thanx for the vote of confidence Rhony, i hope he enjoys it.
Ok, I got the tix to the comedy show for Fri nite and will take him on an impromptu shoppng trip on Mon to get him something new (regardless of what they say, men dig new threads too!!).
ray girl, i am with you on that traffic! i'm soo grateful that i just landed a job on 56th thats less than 10 mins from home, no 30min commute :-)
