NEW TO BOARD

HELLO LADIES, MY NAME IS MIA AND IM NEW TO THE BOARDS. I HAVE NOT PICKED A WEDDING DATE YET, BUT I THINK I SHOULD BE CHECKING OUT RECEPTION HALLS NOW. AM I CORRECT? NEED SOME ADVICE

Welcome to the boards Miabee! This is the place to be -- LOL!! If you haven't picked a date, you will need to do so in the near future. It will make planning your wedding a lot easier.

Mia, welcome to the site! Congrats on getting engaged! If you can get a general idea of when you want the wedding to be that would be good. Do you like summer, fall, spring or winter? Do you like outside or inside? Will you have alot of people or will it be small and intimate? You can start looking at halls to see design and layout and general pricing but the sooner you can have a date, the better.

Welcome Mia....you are in the right place! You should actually get the place your going to have the ceremony first....then your reception site....What I learned from my experience you might want to get a couple open dates from the wedding site...then see which dates your reception site are availiable. I made the mistake a couple times of locking down the church date, then found out that the reception site was not availiable those times.

Hi Mia! Welcome to the board...Rosetta (the site admin) has a host of articles here to help you figure out what needs to be done and how. You can also set up an account with theknot.com or the wedding channel. Once you're a registered member, they provide a general checklist of things that need to be addressed.
