FH hand treatment??? Please help
Posted on: 09/11/2006 02:50 PM
Ladies, please help me. I love my FH dearly. But, dayum, his hands are killing me. Not that they are ugly or anything but he does manual labor. So his hands has some scaring and Lord, I don't know how to decribe it. When we take our pictures (especially the one of both of our hands showing the wedding bands), I want them to look nice. What can I do to get rid of the scaring and nics and crannies? Please help me ladies. I have a year to get it right!

lol I know it can be tough to love the gnarly hands, but you can try what you would use on yourself. I would first start by getting him to sit for a manicure. They can get off the callousses and roughness a bit at a time. Understand that he actuually needs the build up callouses and scar tissue for his job. it is our bodies defense system. Try Pedinol Hydrisinol Creme
for softening and restoring moisture to dry, cracked or calloused skin on feet, hands, or other parts of the body. The oils in Pedinol Hydrisinol Creme
will actually healand add moisture in skin to restore its smooth, soft, youthful look. For sports applications, Hydrisinol Creme will help to lubricate and hydrate the feet to cut down friction and may help prevent blisters.
I admit I use it. I love it. THink about Scar Esthetique Creme. This stuff works fast. Results in as little as 3 days. So I would look into them. It surely can't hurt!

You know what I never thought about that before. My fh has a tendency of biting his nails. His fingers looks like someone jumped up and down on them. It never crossed my mind about the photo of us showing off our rings. I will also try those products that you posted rosey.

Great question Askalot! I just recently got my fiance to start using lotion regularly because I want his hands to look decent. Thanks for the information Rosie!

Thanks for posting this topic, Septbride and thanks for the suggestions, Rosey! My FH is blue collar too & lately he's been cutting, smashing, splintering, and everything else to his hands. He has a total of four fingers with bandages on them. When they heal, I'll try that Scar Esthetique Creme. I'll also remind him to be careful & think about the pictures we have to take in 81 days!
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.

When I go for my pedi, FH gets one, too! (I'm happy I convinced him to...everytime we leave the salon, he goes on and on about how great his feet feel...for days.)

my FH gets clowned for having immaculately clean hands. His father and all of the other men in his family all did manual labor and worked with their hands so they were calloused and rough. He's a nurse, he has no time to get rough hands.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I know no other way. ~ Pablo Neruda
