song help
Posted on: 09/04/2006 11:02 PM
I am needing a replacement song. I was going to have one of my soloist sing, Make Me Whole, but I can't find the instrumental or sheet music. Does anyone have a good replacement?

Thanks,

That is such a beautiful song! I went to a wedding last year where one of the bridesmaids played it on the flute during the ceremony. But anyway, were you just trying to find the sheet music or instrumental music in place of a pianist? When would the song have been sang during the ceremony? Have you ever thought of taking it to a DJ or maybe you know someone that works at a radio station? They should have the equipment to take the CD and pull the voice part out so you would just have an instrumental.

Hello All

I am new to this website and have found it very enlightening. Newbie if you're still looking for the song, contact Parables at (402) 333-5570 and see if they have it or can order it for you. For all of you ladies looking for a beautiful song for your wedding, consider, "I Promise" by CeCe Winans. Absolutely beautifu. The first time I heard the song, I fell in love with it and will have it sung at my wedding....in three weeks!

Congratulations and welcome. I am sorry I cannot help you with a christian song for a male soloist, but I am quite sure one of these women will be more helpful.

Welcome armylove! There is a beautiful song by BeBe Winans. The Cd it is on is self titled. It is called Seeing for the Very First Time. Here are the lyrics...
Is that your smile
Or is that sunlight through the trees
Was that your sigh, or just a gentle breeze
Are those your lips,
Or rolling waves upon the sea
Is this a dream, or can it be
That I'm seeing for the very first time

The rustling leaves,
They bring your laughter all around
The dancing wind,
Feet barely touching down
Is this a song or nature's perfect melody
Is this a dream, or can it be
That I'm seeing for the very first time

Time, time is on our side
And a seed planted in love will grow
We are each a part of everything and everyone

Was that my heart,
Or is there thunder with this rain
Was that a spark
Or have you touched me once again
Are those my eyes
Or are you looking back at me
Is this a miracle, can it be true
That is possible to make one heart of two
It's not a dream
I do believe,
That I'm seeing for the very first time

Leader:]

Sun comes up moon goes down
Heaven shine all around
It feels my heart and moves my soul
Because loving him is better than gold

Leader and Chorus:
(In his arms) dreams comes true
(And in his eyes) the world is new
(Diamonds beam) and yes silver glows (It glows)
(But loving him is better than gold)

He came (my way) when hope was (gone)
I never (knew) I could love (so strong)
I've walked some lonely roads before
(But now I search) no more

Cause this feels right I know its real
(The deeps truth has been revealed)
(All the joy that a heart can hold)
Oh yeah, yeah (loving him is better) than gold

[Chorus:]
(Than gold) [5x] (better than gold)

[Leader and Chorus:]
I've walked some lonely roads before
(But now I search no more)
(This feels right) I know (it's real)
(The deeps truth has been revealed)
(He's all I need and all I know)
All I know is (loving him is better) than gold
(Loving him is better) than gold

Oh, oh, oh, oh

The wedding song that I have chosen for my bridal party to come down on is Kenny Lattimore's for you, and the song that I am going to walk down to is Brian Mcknight's still in love.

Anyone know the lyrics to "Daddy" by Beyonce ? I think that would be a great daughter - daddy dance song ? Oops never mind Found them:

I remember when you use to take me on a
Bike ride everyday on the bayou (You remember that? We wereinseparable)
And I remember when you could do no wrong
You'd come home from work and I jumped in your arms when I sawyou
I was so happy to see you (I was so excited, so happy to seeyou)

Because you loved me I overcome
And I'm so proud of what you've become
You've given me such security
No matter what mistakes I make you're there for me
You kill my disappointments and you heal my pain
You understood my fears and you protected me
Treasure every irreplaceable memory and that's why…

I want my unborn son to be like my daddy
I want my husband to be like my daddy
There is no one else like my daddy
And I thank you for loving me

I still remember the expression on your face
When you found out I'd been on a date and had a boyfriend (Myfirst boyfriend, you should have seen your face)
I still remember I caught you crying cause of my tattoo
Could have said Beyonce I told you so
Instead you said you'd get one too (Even my mama said y'all getone just like mine)

Words can't express my boundless gratitude for you
I appreciate what you do
You've given me such security
No matter what mistakes I make you're there for me
You kill my disappointments and you heal my pain
You understand my fears and you protected me
Treasure every extraordinary memory and that's why…

I want my unborn son to be like my daddy
I want my husband to be like my daddy
There is no one else like my daddy
And I thank you for loving me

Even if my man broke my heart today
No matter how much pain I'm in I will be okay
Cause I got a man in my life that can't be replaced
For this love is unconditional it won't go away
I know I'm lucky
Know it ain't easy
For men who take care of their responsibilities
Love is overwhelming
Can't help my tears from falling
I love you so much daddy

(Thank you, you've done so much for me. I love you daddy.)

I get so emotional daddy, every time I think of you
I get so emotional daddy, every time I think of you
There is no one else like my daddy
No one else replace my daddy...

Thank you so much, however that was posted. Now I was talking to a teacher at my daughter's school and she told me that Smokey Robinson has a song called the wedding song that was on his quite storm album that is wonderful. She went on to say that when members of her family get married they always play this song. I went on limewire last night and typed smokey robinson and of course that song did not appear. Have andy of you ladies heard that song and if so I would appreciate the lyrics for where to find a website that will allow me to listen to the song.

Here you go house:

What once was a dream
Will now become
Two hearts
Will now be one, hey

Were gonna write the book on happiness
Pages that time cannot erase
Starting here and now, oh, oh...
Starting here and now, ooh, oh...oh...
From this time and place

Oh, what a beautiful day
To take a vow
Pray that the things that we say
Will last from now on
I do take you for mine

Were gonna lock our lives together now
Unshakable, unbreakable embrace
Starting here and now
Starting here and now
Starting here and now
From this time and place

Oh...

What love has joined together
Only love can put asunder
And we are
What love has joined together

Here's a song to consider housewife and kygurl. I sang this one for my Hubby

It's called 'Finally I' sung by Daryl Coley on the Album 'with this ring'

Finally I
Know the place where I belong
Took me a while
For my heart to find a home
Now I am living, what only I have dreamed I've been completed

Finally I
know the meaning of true love
Forever kind,
never failing throughout time
Perfect communion
of body soul and mind
Trusting for always

I have been patient in the searching
now I'm ready to receive
all of the goodness that your mercy
has created just for me

Finally I
Am committing all my life
willing to die
For this beauty by my side (I substituted 'man that's' for 'beauty')
Here at this moment
Two people fall in line
we are united
one purpose and one mind
binding together
The love we cannot hide
So glad I waited
Now all I can say is
Finally I

Kay Kay

I hear this song on an urban station in Philly every couple of months. They never introduce the song. I think it sounds like Smokey Norful. It has been out for a couple of years, I think. I hear it when I'm driving so it's hard to stop and write lyrics down. So here are some lyrics that stand out, not necessarily in order:
To you I pledge eternal ....
You wear my ring
All I have I give to you

It's not I Need You Now.

I love all of you guys suggestions. Off the subject just a bit; but 2 songs we are considering as our 1st dance is John Legend w/Mariah Born Again, and Brian McKnight w/Mariah No Matter How Far
I love them both.
