I was initially trying to think of what colors I like best in the world and that wasn't helping much because I love all different colors for different reasons. So Charley mentioned something about sunsets and I thought, "THATS IT!" Draw the colors from the things I love most. So, the three things I love most in this world are: sunset, sunrise & the beach (im a water baby)!
Also, Ms. Nique showed some pics of centerpieces designed by Preston Bailey and I was compelled to seek him out and I found something I fell in love with! I am going to try to copy his designs on a lower budget.
So sistas I am asking you all, how I can incorporate these colors into my wedding. What color bridesmaids dresses can I pull from these? What do these images make you ladies feel?
Please let me know what you ladies think, you have so much insight and information.

Ok, from the sunset I came up with Purple(liliac)and pink( dusty rose). Ican't remember when your wedding date is. Sunrise, I am going to go with midnight blue,sky blue and ivory or platinum with both sets of colors. I hopethis helps.
I like the pink and purple or the sunset, or the orange and yellow in the sunset.I dont know how big you are on those colors but with a little creativity it can look beautiful.
For the sunrise I like the midnight blue and light blue in the center.
Those pictures are beautiful!! I also like the sky blue and platinum that was suggested. I would also suggest persimmon. I'm only familiar with the color because a friend of mine used it at her wedding. It was like a combination of orange and pink. Sounds weird, huh? I think I'll post a picture from her wedding so you can see.
i know persimmon the fruit but have never seen persimmon the color. I am feeling the colors in the sunset sky the more i look at it.

The sunset attire will probably be more suitable for a daytime wedding. The sunrise has mostly dark colors. And if you are having the wedding on a beach I would go with light colors becasue you dont want your attendants to pass out from the sun attracting to their clothes.You know how Hot it can get here in Cali. We were in the high 90 - 120 for the last 2 weeks.

Gyrl you and that baby can come to my house. I run my air almost all day. FH and my roommate tried to complain about the bill but they was looking the air. It is toooo hot not to have air in the Inland Empire in summer time. 100 degree weather aint for me,thats why I dont vidit my family in Texas during the summer.
girl i h8 the heat. fortunately i ran away to my uncles house in diamond bar today. one of our family members is here from new orleans and my uncle cooked for everybody. i sat RIGHT under the air conditioner and went swimming later in the evening. I was not playing! I am not a summer fan. Give me my California winters. Nice lil 75 degree Christmas mornings... *sigh*

i have decided to go with a tropical sunset theme. Colors are sort of monochromatic pink/fuschia, deep purple and a butter cream to neutralize those strong colors. I was inspired by that picture of the sunset I posted and these are the colors I fell most in love with.

You can do them both, and then choose an accent color like gold or silver, or even something bold like purple or turquoise! Wine is a lovely color and with the trendy weddings going on, you can be bold, and out of the box! I would Check out the theknot website or even google wedding colors wine and ivory and see what you come up with....you can do WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO sweetie!
Which is exactly what I was gonna say! Burgundy and Ivory would be fabulous dawling, simply fabulous. Gold accents would be a lovely third color unless you want to be more bold and add more drama. Bee, have i told you lately that I love you?
