When it comes to wedding accessories, there's nothing like a veil to make you feel like a bride. Slip on that special headpiece made just for you and something magical happens.

71/2"/19cm white Velcro®
20"/51cm white lace
hot-glue gun and glue sticks

Covering form:
Fold under one short end of satin; wrap around form so edges overlap inside form and folded end is at back of form; pin. Hand-sew edges together using an overcast stitch.

Making flowers and leaves:
Flat flower (make one): Cut a 11/2" x 6"/3.5cm x 15cm satin strip. Fold in half lengthwise; run a row of basting stitches along raw edge, leaving long thread ends. Remove needle; pull threads to gather edge into a circle, ends overlapping; knot threads securely. Sew flower appliqué to center of flower.

Ranunculus (make one): Cut a 2" x 8"/5cm x 20cm piece of satin. Fold in half lengthwise; run a row of basting stitches along raw edge. Pull thread to gather, wrapping strip into spiral; tack to secure.

Leaves (make three): Cut a 2" x 11/4"/5cm x 3cm piece of satin. Fold in half lengthwise. Fold both ends down diagonally toward center. Next, fold corners to center. Run a row of gathering stitches along bottom edge. Gather stitches; knot thread ends.

Embellishing form:
Sew feathers, pearls and pearl spray to headpiece, pushing needle through buckram form to secure. Sew flowers and leaves to center of arrangement. Hot-glue lace around inside of form to conceal stitches.

Attaching veil:
Separate Velcro strip. Sew edge of veil along one edge of loop side of strip with machine zigzag stitches. Reattach Velcro pieces; hot-glue assembly to inside back of covered form.

Attaching combs:
Cut white bridal loops in two pieces; hot-glue to insides of form. Slip combs through loops to finish.
